Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

If I’m doing a piss-poor job of explaining the Paramount/Warner Bros. merger and all the legal drama surrounding it, Vulture has an excellent explainer here.

Meanwhile, Paramount owner David Ellison is out here writing a whole opinion piece claiming that the real reason the states are suing him to prevent the Warner Bros. merger is all about CNN and that they don’t want him to turn it into a mouthpiece for the GOP, but, YOU GUYS, HE’S TOTALLY NOT GOING TO DO THAT, HE SWEARS. … You know, despite the fact that President MediaWhore has totally said that’s exactly what is going to happen. REMINDER: David Ellison is the same man who hired Bari Weiss to take over CBS News and destroy 60 Minutes from within, so yeah, he’s lying.

Though Rosie O’Donnell says she’s returning to The View for its 30th anniversary celebrations, “not so fast,” says The View.

Meanwhile, O’Donnell is out here (accurately) calling President Diapers an unhealthy mess:

“And the fact that he’s falling asleep, that he’s very physically ill, that he doesn’t look like he’s long for this earth, that he shouldn’t be the man in control of the nuclear code,” O’Donnell said. “Like, these are things that everyone around him knows.”

… So expect him to have a Truth Social meltdown about her any second now.

Please do not crash the set of Heated Rivalry.

So, about that New Girl reunion …

According to him, at least, Taylor Sheridan lost out on a role on The Walking Dead to Jon Bernthal.

Someone is making weird fake Jimmy Kimmel monologues with AI. If you’re on YouTube and you see a Jimmy Kimmel monologue talking about current events: no, you didn’t.

Stay healthy, Christina Applegate.

Feel better, George.

Congratulations to Frank Catania Jr. and Nicole Perricho!

And congratulations, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid? Maybe?

#MeToo

Jared Leto has been accused of sexual abuse by four women in the BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, all of whom claim they were underage when he pursued them. Leto has categorically denied the allegations, and his management is sticking by him. However, following the release of the documentary, nine more women came forward with similar allegations.

Todd Blanche, the acting attorney general whose nomination to officially become the attorney general, finally met with the Epstein survivors in his attempt to get his nomination pushed through. According to the survivors, he was profoundly rude to them:

“He was very condescending, it was a lot of talking in circles, a lot of arguing semantics,” she said. “A lot of getting to the core points that we needed answers to.”

Bensky left the meeting feeling unheard.

“Basically we walked away with no answers and it felt like a no-win situation,” she said.

When reporters pressed for details of Blanche being “condescending,” she provided them.

“He actually said the words ‘get to the point’ to us,” she said.

“We’re survivors who have been waiting to meet with him for nine months, eight months…. He very much said, ‘Can you get to the point already? What are you getting at?'”

The worst part is that he will certainly be confirmed.

Republican Ohio Congressman Max Miller is staying in his race following his former father-in-law, fellow Republican Senator Bernie Moreno, denouncing him in the midst of an ugly custody battle. Miller has been accused by his ex-wife Emily Moreno, Sen. Moreno’s daughter, of being physically abusive towards her and their 2-year-old daughter. Additionally, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham has also accused Miller of physically abusing her, and she just today took out a restraining order against him. But Miller’s hanging in there, calling everyone else crazy.

Modest Mouse guitarist Simon O’Connor has been fired from the band following accusations that he was sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

Former UFC fighter Anthony Smith has been arrested for allegedly trying to run over his wife with his car and threatening to kill her.

Former Love & Hip Hop star Sidney Starr was arrested for sexual battery against a child under 16 and aggravated child molestation.

Kanye West has settled a lawsuit with his former assistant who accused him of sexual assault, abuse and wrongful termination.

Rapper Yung Filly has been found not guilty of rape in an Australian court.

Liberal political commentator Adam Mockler posted a series of photos on “National Girlfriends Day” showing him “jokingly” throwing his girlfriend, TikTok influencer Eumie Michelle, off of a pier, which, as you might imagine, elicited a strong response from people who found a “joke” about violence towards women distasteful. Not helping the situation: Michelle then stepped in to say, “If anyone’s violent in this relationship, it’s me, lmao.” Girl. That’s not helping.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
