Ramsey took the day off yesterday and attended a safety meeting for slips, trips and falls due to his Monday incident. He apparently didn’t learn anything 😆 #dog #labrador #dogsoftiktok #amazon #ups

The Freedom 250 Festival is going great, guys.

“The listed performers include pop duo Milli Vanilli, one of whom is dead. Pop duo C+C Music Factory, another of whom is dead,” Kimmel said. “Morris Day and The Time, minus lead singer Morris Day and minus The Time, they refused to be part of the event. Young MC, minus Young MC, who also refused to be part of the event. And The Commodores, minus the original singers from The Commodores and minus the new singers from The Commodores who backed out today, too.”

As of 48 hours ago, the list of performers included:

  • Martina McBride
  • C+C Music Factory
  • Vanilla Ice
  • Milli Vanilli
  • Young MC
  • The Commodores
  • Morris Day and the Time
  • Flo Rida
  • Bret Michaels

As of 24 hours ago, Milli Vanilli, Young MC, Morris Day and the Time, and The Commodores had dropped out.

Last night, we learned Martina McBride is out.

And this morning, Bret Michaels had withdrawn. This leaves Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, and one-half of C+C Music Factory as the only performers still standing. Amazing.

Wait wait wait, hold up, Tom Hardy wasn’t fired from Mobland after all? And Helen Mirren “loves” him? I can’t wait to hear the real story about what is going on over there.

ABC has begrudingly complied with the FCC’s demand they submit license renewal applications for the eight local stations they currently own. ABC is REALLY PISSED ABOUT IT. “When a broadcaster must weigh regulatory retaliation before making editorial decisions, the public loses access to journalism that is free from government influence.”

Speaking of broadcasters making decisions under pressure of government influence, Cecilia Vega released a statement following being fired from 60 Minutes, which included the following:

In recent months, my producing teams and I have experienced efforts to insert political bias into our stories. Reporting teams have held back on submitting story pitches about important news topics out of fear of the internal repercussions.

Let’s call this what it is: censorship, both imposed and self-driven. It is dangerous for the show and dangerous for democracy.

I held the line and refused to incorporate suggestions that offend the conscience, a phrase I borrow from a colleague who has also fought to keep questionable editorial suggestions away from the facts. I know from many conversations with colleagues that many producing teams and correspondents working on the show today have had to fight to maintain editorial independence with regularity. I am far from the only 60 Minutes correspondent who has asked herself, “What is my personal red line? How much can I push back before I pay the price?”

Today I lost an amazing job. But I still have my integrity.

Oh, and CBS is claiming that AKSHULLY Comics Unleashed is going to make them $15 million, so when you add to that the $40 million The Late Show was costing them, they’re actually making $55 million. This math only works if ratings don’t matter, but some people think that ratings might still matter. But, hey, good luck with all that!
