Let’s get Danny DeVito a wig and put him in ‘Wednesday’ already

Happy Veterans Day to all our proud vets.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Catherine Zeta Jones wants Danny DeVito to join the cast of Wednesday as Cousin Itt, and you know what? I can see it. We know he can rock a wig.

The reason Tom Bergeron was fired from Dancing With the Stars? Because he opposed Sean Spicer — and any political figure — being on the show. Good for you, Tom.

Paramount is promising to expand its television studio output.

Oh, and they’re raising prices on us again, because of course they are.

MS Now will rely on AccuWeather for its meteorology coverage.

I genuinely don’t understand the mentality of people who make fake images like this. Like, who cares enough about Chris Harrison to make a fake photo of his wife with a baby bump?

#MeToo

Jeremy Renner is the newest one in the barrel. Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, with whom he had a personal relationship, has accused him of domestic violence and sexual harassment. Renner denies the allegations.

Mike Smith of The Trailer Park Boys has been charged with sexual assault in Canada. The group has announced that Smith has “stepped away” from his role with them.

HEY, MEN, DON’T DO THIS.

Millie Bobby Brown opened up about the British press (specifically The Daily Mail) bullying her about her looks and how it left her deeply depressed.

And what is interesting is that it was also The Daily Mail that published the story last week that Brown had filed a harassment complaint against David Harbour. Variety reported that there was, indeed, an investigation but that it was “resolved.” The producers didn’t deny the report, but Brown and Harbour made a big show of being friendly on the Stranger Things premiere red carpet last week in what is clearly an attempt to save both the show and Harbour’s reputation.

Squid Game actor Oh Young-soo’s sexual assault conviction was overturned in South Korea.

Denise Richards won her request for a restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.

Jennifer Lawrence declined an intimacy coordinator on her new movie, Die My Love, with Robert Pattinson because he’s “not pervy,” unlike other actors.

“A lot of male actors,” she continued, “get offended if you don’t, like, wanna f*** them. And then the punishment starts. But just for the record, [Pattinson] was not like that.”

“I’ve just heard of [men like that]. I’ve never experienced it,” Lawrence joked, clearly sarcastically.

Florence Pugh also brings a nuanced perspective on the issue of intimacy coordinators, essentially noting that, like with every profession, some are better than others.

Kristen Stewart declared a “state of emergency” in gender inequality in filmmaking. It does appear things are backsliding: in 2024, not a single woman or other-gendered person directed a big-budget film (described as a budget of $100 million or more), and the number of films led by a woman or girl dropped to a 10-year low last year.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
