Are there really people out there who think that Alan Cumming is running ‘The Traitors’ all by himself?

GIMME THE BABY CHEETAH.

@cincinnatizoo

The sleepiest baby cheetah! It’s exhausting being this adorable. Cheetahs spend most of their time sleeping and they are minimally active during the hottest portions of the day. #cincinnatizoo #animals #cuteanimals #cheetah #cat

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

A record 126 million people watched Sunday’s Super Bowl, making it the most-watched event on TV since the moon landing.

Bless these dummies’ dumb hearts:

way funnier than the conservatives who hated Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show are the conservatives who thought he was doing the ultimate patriotic ode to America

In honor of SNL anniversary month: A reasoned rant against the SNL cast breaking on camera. And a love letter to the “Weekend Update” joke swap.

Also, IndieWire lists their favorite 50 SNL sketches of this century, and I have to be honest, while I disagree with how many of them are ranked (and wondering where “Real Housewives of Disney” even is) I’m not mad at the top five.

No, Alan Cumming obviously does not choose the traitors himself, but he does have fun at the choosing ceremony. In other news: no, that’s not Alan Cumming’s castle and no, no one is actually “murdered.”

Lisa Rinna has no regrets for shit-talking The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and not even Andy Cohen make her feel bad about it.

Sara Haines is out here using late night language on a daytime show.

Fran Brill, the first female Muppeteer after Jane Henson to be hired by Jim Henson, will be the Lifetime Achievement Honoree at “The 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.”

Hoping David Johansen recovers soon.

PolUGHtics

In a desperate bid to avoid his wrath and in the case of PBS avoid having their funding cut, PBS and Disney have both preemptively ended their DEI programs. Shameful.

Oh, Elon’s businesses are benefitting from the raid on and destruction of our government? YOU DON’T SAY. (I saw some dumbass comment on a post that the billionaires that we’ve set upon on government are actually very trustworthy because they “can’t be bought off,” and it’s literally hurting my brain several hours later.)

New York City Mayor Eric Adams traded allowing ICE to raid the city in exchange for the Feds dropping the charges against him because everyone involved is so fucking corrupt. This goes hand in hand with the adminstration ending the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a law that prohibits U.S. citizens and entities from bribing foreign government officials. True fact!

The courts are starting to get pissed that the administration isn’t listening to them: a federal court ordered the administration to turn federal funding back on, but the administration is ignoring them, because who’s going to make them? Constitutional crisis, folks.

#MeToo

Sean Combs has been sued by some more folks, including two women who say he raped them at the Trump International Hotel in New York (no further commentary necessary), a male street performer from Los Angeles who says Combs drugged and raped him, and a male Las Vegas dancer who says Combs abused him over a period of five years.

Meanwhile, Kanye West is out here begging President Sexual Predator to “FREE PUFF.” And honestly, after Kanye’s behavior this week, which included him: exposing his all-but-naked wife on the Grammy’s red carpet; going on an anti-Semitic rant on Twitter in which he declared his love for Hitler (which earned condemnation from ADL and David Schwimmer), claiming “dominion” over his wife, and posting so much porn that he was actually censored by “free speech” Twitter; and then buying a Super Bowl ad that was filmed on an iPhone while at the dentist, in which he sent people to his website where he was selling t-shirts with swastikas on them … I’m not sure that Combs actually would want Kanye to be his advocate at the moment.

Neil Gaiman’s ex-wife Amanda Palmer has taken to social media to deny the sex trafficking accusations against her leveled by a former babysitter in a lawsuit.

Cameron Diaz stayed away from acting for a decade, and when she returned to make the Netflix film Back in Action, she was shocked at the changes in the industry because of the #MeToo movement. “I definitely have to say that the #MeToo movement changed everything,” she explained. “I mean, it’s palpable. You walk onto the set and it is different. It wasn’t just like the higher-ups, you know what I mean? There was always just that one guy, you know, on set, that you were like always going, ‘God, here he comes again.’”

Of course studio executives wanted a love scene in A Few Good Men just because Demi Moore was cast in it. Of course they did.

Hollywood producer David Brian Pearce was found guilty of first-degree murder of two women who died of drug overdoses. He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting seven women.

Hey, Armie Hammer is out here opening his dumb mouth again if you care.

British TV chef Gino D’Acamp has been hit with dozens of allegations of inappropriate behavior. He denies the claims.

R. Kelly needs to pay his survivors.

Stephen A. Smith decided to be weird about Serena Williams dancing at Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, saying that he’d divorce his wife for doing the same, but Williams’ husband had her back.

Blake Lively is being sued by a crisis management firm that she says was involved in the smear campaign against her. Also, Baldoni’s lawyers are threatening to depose Taylor Swift in this mess. Here’s a timeline of all the legalities if you’re interested.

Kristin Davis says she was told not to gain any weight while working on Melrose Place, and that filming the sex scenes in the 90s Sex and the City was terrifying and that she didn’t feel protected. I share these “no duh” stories in part because it shows how far we actually have come in terms of what we find acceptable in the business, and with a hope that we don’t go back to a time where producers routinely stressed actresses who weighed MAYBE 100 pounds about their weight or were so callous about sex scenes and their comfort levels.
