  1. Happy New Year, Therese! I’m four episodes into season one of “From”, and I want to know if you’ve ever watched it. Definitely got some “Lost” vibes about it, and I’m not just saying that because of Harold Perrineau. I don’t remember where I first heard about it, but after discovering that my current cable bundle includes MGM+ (who knew?!? I had no idea that existed, either), I started watching. It’s pretty good! Plenty of mysteries already, and characters I want to know more about.

    1. Oh yes, I know all about ‘From’ though I’ve only seen the first half of season one. It’s VERY ‘Lost’ heavy: Jeff Pinker, who wrote on both ‘Lost’ and ‘Fringe’ is the showrunner; Javier Grillo-Marxuach, who was a fan-favorite writer on ‘Lost’ for the first couple of seasons is a writer; the bulk of the episodes were directed by Jack Bender, one of ‘Lost’s most prolific directors; and there are other writers and directors who have connections to ‘Lost’-adjacent shows, ‘Fringe’ and ‘Once Upon a Time.’
As for why I haven’t watched all of it — I didn’t have MGM+ for a long time; I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes on Prime when they were added for a free preview, but then the rest of the episodes were pulled before I could finish it. I really enjoyed the little I saw, but then all the rest of TV piled up and here we are. Will definitely get back to it, ASAP thanks to all the good reviews, including yours!

      -T

    2. I’ve been pushing From to anyone who would listen since I saw episode 1. It’s so, so good! At some point I have to pony up for MGM+ to watch the new season.
