Every Election Day, I’m out here telling you this is The Most Important Election of Our Lifetimes. It’s tedious. You’re tired of hearing it, I’m tired of saying it.

But as long as Former President Convicted Felon continues to seek unchecked power, as long as he elevates racists and sexists and White Christian Nationalists and an agenda that a vast majority of Americans want nothing to do with, as long as he is out there undermining our electoral process and the concept of democracy itself, any election that features his name is on the ballot will be The Most Important Election of Our Lifetimes.

The bottom line is Former President Hitler Did Some Good Things is an authoritarian who does not believe in our Constitution or the American experiment. And that’s what it is: America is an experiment, it is an idea. And it can shatter if this election goes wrong.

If you haven’t already, please vote today. Vote for your children, vote for your mother, vote for your friends, your neighbors, for Jimmy Carter, vote for your country. Vote for your future.  It matters. It matters so much.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

ALRIGHT. No more yelling at you, I promise. But a few more election items for you before we move on:

If you can’t bring yourself to watch election coverage tonight — good luck, it’s going to be on all of the networks. But! Vanity Fair and TV Insider have some suggestions for you.

What will NOT be on tonight are any of the late night shows, except for The Daily Show. Everyone else is expecting the election coverage to go long, and no one wants a replay of Stephen Colbert’s live show on 2016.

I’m genuinely happy to see that Chris Stirewalt, the former Fox News election forecaster who called Arizona for Biden ahead of anyone else — and got fired for it — has landed at another news channel. It looks like he’ll be calling the election for NewsNation tonight.

I agree with all of Deadlines‘ winners and losers of the election.

Peacock is offering a year of ad-supported streaming for only $19.99 right now.

Agatha All Along will compete as a comedy series in the Golden Globes — which is interesting because it means it won’t be competing as a limited series, which means it might be renewed?

Amazon is using AI to create spoiler-free recaps of their shows for some reason.

Breaking: spending hours and hours a day being pressed up against an attractive member of the opposite sex is hard on a marriage.

The Television Critics Association has canceled its winter tour because there just weren’t enough streamers, networks, and studios available to participate due to “deep contraction” in the business.

Brandi Glanville is still out here making messes, claiming that Caroline Manzo is a lesbian and that if Bravo would just release the footage, everyone would see. I am not surprised she has trouble hanging on to her lawyers.

#MeToo

Police in the U.K. have urged prosecutors to bring charges against Russell Brand.

Hip-hop producer Metro Boomin is being sued by a woman who alleges that he drugged and raped her, which resulted in an unwanted pregnancy.

Miami has taken Sean Comb’s key to the city back.

BBC chair Samir Shah has vowed to crack down on “unacceptable behavior” at the network: “… there continues to be a sense that powerful people ‘get away with it’; that people who have had the courage to complain are left dangling; that more visible action needs to be taken when someone is found to have crossed a line.”

Yeah, it’s almost like what women have been saying for decades is a real thing.

Keke Palmer has opened up about being molested as a child by another child. “People don’t really think about child-on-child molestation, but it’s something that exists,” Palmer said. “I felt weird and violated, but I didn’t really know how to place it. I just knew I had all these weird feelings and thoughts, and I felt a little bit out of control and overwhelmed.”

King Charles has cut Prince Andrew’s allowance off because of the whole Jeffrey Epstein thing. And Queen Camilla is participating in a documentary about domestic abuse. (Did they hire new PR people or something?)

Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp have both been cast in new movies and Mark Halperin has been making the rounds on right-wing media because canceling isn’t a real thing.

A reminder to my male friends here: women always have to think about what they’ll do in a dangerous situation. The fact that you don’t is an example of your male privilege.
