A little The Boys history: it almost became a trio of films directed by Adam McKay. And I’m sure they would have been great fun but it’s hard to imagine a better adaptation than the one Eric Kripke and Prime Video have given us, to be honest.

Paramount+ is the most recent streamer to raise its prices. The new prices go into effect in August.

The Emmy nominees will be announced in a few weeks (July 17) and for the casual viewer, it might be confusing as to why each category has a different number of nominees. For instance, the drama acting categories will have six nominees each; the comedy acting categories will have five nominees each; supporting drama acting will have seven; while supporting comedy acting will have six. Variety has an explanation for the weird Emmy math, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Over on CNN, Kasie Hunt shut down an interview with a Former President Hannibal Lecter Stan spokesperson who, when asked about the upcoming debate, starting shitting on Jake Tapper and Dana Bash instead. More of this, journalists.

“MSNBC Live: Democracy 2024,” a day-long event featuring MSNBC personalities, including Rachel Maddow, Ari Melber, Jen Psaki, Joy Reid, and Katy Tur, will be held in Brooklyn on September 7. I thought the headline for this piece that claims MSNBC is basically hosting its own BravoCon was just being cheeky, but no: they literally took inspiration from sister network Bravo’s BravoCon.

    1. I don’t know for sure, but my suspicion is they are trying to get it out ahead of the Presidential Debate. FX/Hulu announced ‘The Bear’ was returning on June 27 all the way back in February at which time it was a perfectly safe, conflict-free premiere date. And then Election 2024 steamrolled that.
