Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Y’all got to be careful live-taping anything in New Orleans.
It was a big weekend of coming out for POC winners of Survivor:
Oh no! Recover quickly, Carrie Bernans!
#MeToo
Paula Abdul has sued Nigel Lythgoe of So You Think You Can Dance for sexually assaulting her during the early seasons of American Idol (he was a producer of the show), and later when she became a judge on SYTYCD. She also accuses him of verbal harassment and bullying, and being paid less than the male judges. Lythgoe denies the allegations, and accused her of “erratic behavior.” Gross. And I bet Fox is freaking out right about now that they brought Lythgoe back for the upcoming SYTYCD season.
A letter signed by 56 French actors, including Carla Bruni, Charlotte Rampling, and Carole Bouquet, defending Gerard Depardieu has been responded to with a letter signed by 600 French art and entertainment world figures, decrying such a defense in the face of multiple allegations of sexual assault.
“It is the sinister and perfect illustration of the world which refuses to let things change,” read the letter posted on the site of investigative news website Mediapart on Friday.
“It is the reversal of roles where the executioner (the ‘monster’. the man, not at all sacred, but just obscene) places himself as a victim, with the help of his friends. As always in cases of gender-based and sexual violence against women, the ‘presumption of innocence’ for the aggressor sounds like a ‘presumption of lying’ for the women who testify against him,” it continued.
AT&T’s “Lily” opened up about being sexually harassed, and how “Flo” from Progressive supported her. Y’all. My God. What’s wrong with people?
I regret to inform you that Dave Chappelle is at it again.
