HEY YOU TURKEYS

It’s Thanksgiving again, somehow, and time for me to tell you what I’m thankful for:

I am thankful for another year with my family and friends. I’ve been reminded in recent years that tomorrow is never a given, and the fact that I’ve had the company of (most of) my loved ones this past year is a blessing that I do not take for granted.

I am thankful for the roof over my head, the food on my table, my general good health, and (sometimes) (mostly) the internet.

I am thankful that certain people are finally facing justice.

I am thankful the writers’ and actors’ strike came to an end and the creators were able to negotiate good deals for themselves.

I am thankful for all the amazing television and movies that sustained us through the actors’ and writers’ strike and I’m thankful that we have so much more to look forward to next year. I am particularly thankful for the finales of Succession, Barry, The Other Two, and The Great; to Starz for bringing back Minx and The CW for saving FBoy Island; the demented writers who helm Gen V and The Boys; I’m thankful for Pedro Pascal and Mike Flanagan in general; and I am thankful for the person who thought it would be funny to put prosthetic nipples and nipple rings on Jon Hamm.

And, as always, I’m thankful that you people take a little time out of your day to check out this site and talk to me about TV, entertainment, and politics. Thank you for being part of my community. 

I hope you each have a wonderful Thanksgiving, enjoying a delicious day with family and friends and the dog show.
