I once read somewhere that cats think that we humans are just giant stupid baby cats and this video pretty much confirms that:

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
By now you’ve surely heard about Ron DeSantis’ disastrous Presidential Announcement on Twitter, which everyone thought was pretty funny …
But the real deliciousness was how it humiliated BOTH DeSantis and Elon Musk. Just … ~chef’s kiss~
Folks: We can now all relive Ron DeSantis' humiliating failure to launch! Watch as DeSantis, Elon Musk, and David Sacks struggle to get Twitter Spaces to work in their initial 20+ minute attempt. pic.twitter.com/MyiX1yVKyb

I love the spin that Elon and DeSantis “broke the internet” because Twitter servers kept crashing. It’s like calling the time I left my plastic spatula too close to the stove “breaking the food industry”

I've known this for a while abstractly, but the sheer visceral reality of just how stupid this GOP primary is going to be is now really setting in.

I found this to be insightful and helpful to understand all the fuckery happening in the entertainment world with all the mergers and what not, and why Jack Donaghy and GE shouldn’t be in the media business. It doesn’t explain why David Zaslav of Discovery thinks that HBO is an unmarketable brand, but it does explain why Discovery was able to scoop up a legacy brand like Warner Bros. after a non-media company like AT&T had ruined it.
quickly run into a problem with accounting, realize they’ve made a huge mistake, and then have to sell the company to a different entertainment company (Discovery) to get out of it. The accounting issue was explained as this: the entertainment industry uses an amortization method

so they have to report every cost as it happens, making it look real bad for stock holders as they wait months or years for the profits to come in. So AT&T sold Warner to Discovery to offload an asset that simply doesn’t function within Wall Street’s usual risk assessments.

And now you know.
A Ted Lasso finale event for fans that was scheduled on May 30 has been abruptly canceled for “unforeseen circumstances.” The event would have featured a preview screening of the final episode, and the cast was expected to be in attendance. Is this related to the strike? DUNNO.
Paddy Considine is out here campaigning for an Emmy nomination like his life depends on it.
Whoopi Goldberg is out here blaming American Idol for “the downfall of society.”
Brian Cox is out here complaining that Logan Roy was killed off too early. (He was not.)
Jeremy Strong is out here taking himself way too seriously.
And Joe Jonas is out here being a big crybaby.
Sounds like the Vanderpump Rules reunion was … something.
If you’re a Sex and the City fan and happen to be in New York City in a couple of weeks …
CNN’s ratings have not recovered since THAT town hall.
Disney’s notorious “vault” is the problem.
The Idol has only a 17% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. It’s the lowest rating for an HBO series ever. So that’s going great.
If you have $155,000 you can buy bid on the Cheers bar; and if you have $5.5 million you can buy The Brady Bunch house.

Tina Turner, Legend
Angela Bassett released this statement:
“How do we say farewell to a woman who owned her pain and trauma and used it as a means to help change the world? Through her courage in telling her story, her commitment to stay the course in her life, no matter the sacrifice, and her determination to carve out a space in rock and roll for herself and for others who look like her, Tina Turner showed others who lived in fear what a beautiful future filled with love, compassion, and freedom should look like.”
Bassett continued, “Her final words to me — for me — were ‘You never mimicked me. Instead, you reached deep into your soul, found your inner Tina, and showed her to the world.’ I shall hold these words close to my heart for the rest of my days. I am honored to have known Tina Turner. I am humbled to have helped show her to the world. So on today, while we mourn the loss of this iconic voice and presence, she gave us more than we could have ever asked. She gave us her whole self. And Tina Turner is a gift that will always be “simply the best.” Angels, sing thee to thy rest…Queen.”
