Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Someone is going to put the Curb theme over Logan’s death, aren’t they?

The director of the episode also talks about how he crafted it and how he made certain decisions, and it’s very interesting and well-worth a read.

Sunday’s episode brought in 2.5 million viewers, a series high.

House of the Dragon‘s second season has begun production! I mean, we’re not going to see an episode until sometime in 2024, but still!

You can’t intellectualize the daddy appeal of Pedro Pascal. You just have to let it be.

As for what comes in the second season of The Last of Us, it’s not been said whether or not the show will faithfully follow the same plot as the videogame The Last of Us Part II, but Pascal believes it will. “It wouldn’t make sense to follow the first game so faithfully only to stray severely from the path,” Pascal told Esquire. DO NOT CLICK ON THAT LINK UNLESS YOU VERY MUCH WANT TO BE SPOILED.

Warner Bros. Discovery is expected to reveal their $15.99 a month HBO Max + Discovery+ streaming service, called “Max” tomorrow. It’s expected to launch in a  month or two. I still am unclear whether those of us who subscribe to HBO through our cable carrier will still be able to access Max for free or not, and they better be prepared to answer that particular question, dammit.

Meanwhile, IndieWire says that it is possible that Paramount’s move to slim down by consolidating Showtime into Paramount+, and selling off BET and Noggin, might be a preliminary move to position itself for acquisiton. There are too many streamers, so this actually makes a degree of sense.

And Variety asks industry insiders what they think of each of the major streamers.

Caroline Manzo is done with the Real Housewives world after Brandi Glanville assaulted her on Ultimate Girls Trip.

The Fox News/Dominion Voting systems lawsuit goes to court next week, and the judge is laying down the law: no references to January 6, Dominion can’t make references to threats they received from Former President Arsonist’s followers, and Fox News can not rely on the “newsworthiness” defense.

The Peabody Awards have announced their documentary and news nominees.

So Tom Sandoval brought Raquel home to St. Louis to meet his friends and family there (his family declined to meet her because they thought it was tacky) BACK IN DECEMBER? BEFORE ANY OF THIS CAME OUT? Wow.

Big Freedia released a video for her new song, “Hey Queen” as part of the soundtrack to Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and it is giving me ALL THE NEW ORLEANS FEELS.

Speaking of queens, Lizzo is technically a Disney Princess now.

Millie Bobby Brown who is 19 years old is engaged to Jon Bon Jovi’s son is a sentence I did not expect to type out on this day.

Fabrizio Lombardo, the former head of Miramax in Italy, and close associate of Harvey Weinstein, has been accused of rape in New York.

The director of Pretty Baby, the Brooke Shields documentary (which is really terrific, worth your time, and makes you appreciate Brooke Shields in a whole new light), says that thought she interviewed Shields about her sexual assault, she gave the model-actress full control of the decision to include it.

Don Lemon is having another bad week. A Variety report claims that he sent threatening messages to a female colleague after she landed an assignment in Iraq that he wanted. The story also claims that he dated a younger employee when such relationships were frowned upon, called a female producer fat, mocked Nancy Grace on air, suggested that Soledad O’Brien wasn’t black and shouldn’t have hosted Black in America, engaged in some ethically questionable behavior in regards to the Jussie Smollet case, was a shameless name-dropper and diva, and routinely made misogynistic comments to colleagues. Lemon denies everything as anonymous gossip.

Emily Ratajkowski revealed that she quit acting because she felt like her management team “hate women” and that Hollywood is fucked up. Indeed!

And Heather Graham is glad that we’re growing as a culture, but says that nothing has changed dramatically when it comes to sexism in Hollywood. No doubt!

Sophia Bush recalled a time when a drunk fan became aggressive with her and called her a “TV prostitute.” He seems nice.

WHAT THE FUCK, DALAI LAMA? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, DUDE?

  1. If we’re going to mash up Succession and Curb Your Enthusiasm, I suggest Logan’s obit take a cue from Curb’s Season 1 Episode 8, “Beloved Aunt.”

  2. According to CNET, “If you currently receive HBO Max or HBO through a mobile carrier or your cable/satellite TV provider, you’ll have access to the updated Max app. You won’t have to cancel and resubscribe.” So apparently if you subscribe to HBO through your cable provider you’ll still get Max for free.
