Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
There is some value in interviewing public figures whose political beliefs veer into the conspiratorial, racist, fascist, Christian white nationalist arenas if AND ONLY IF you are prepared to push back against their bullshit and show the hatred and fallacies underlying their arguments. That did not happen in the Leslie Stahl interview of Marjorie Taylor Greene on 60 Minutes last night. If the best you can come up with to the outright lie that Democrats and President Biden support children “being sexualized and having transgender surgeries” is “Wow,” you are not merely turning a blind eye to her awfulness, you are giving this lunatic a national platform to spread her hateful, fascist agenda.
Greene uses her prestigious national media 60 Minutes platform to double down on her crazy and dangerous assertion that Democrats are “pedophiles” and, in response, Stahl can only say “wow” and can’t you say that “without name calling”. 🤦🏽♂️😡 pic.twitter.com/HbvjE3ZhGK

There is a way to interview these people and expose them as the monsters that they are — Jon Stewart regularly does it on his show. But if you’re too scared or not competent enough to push back on someone’s vile positions, you shouldn’t interview them at all.
i respect Lesley Stahl and 60 Minutes but airing this is garbage https://t.co/X7PLRGUcTD

I have known Lesley Stahl for more than forty years, worked alongside her for many election weeks. She has been a great journalist, but this is a disgraceful, cringeworthy performance. Shameful to the max. https://t.co/vlrzGnG2NF

Big congrats to every moron who was like, "No, actually, it's good for 60 Minutes to interview Greene. Lesley Stahl will hold her accountable!"
Abject idiots. pic.twitter.com/v6cwXCobyg

Leslie Stahl’s interview isn’t a one-off atrocity. It’s just one symptom of the media turning a blind eye to fascism.
In just the last two weeks alone, the mainstream media have refused to recognize the threat posed by the Republican party and its de facto leader, Donald Trump.… pic.twitter.com/53ffpRjzjK

At least the ratings tanked. It was down 33% from last week, the second-lowest-rated episode of the season. LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS, 60 MINUTES.
Meanwhile, Kelsea Ballerini’s CMT performance that included drag queens Jan Sport, Olivia Lux, Manila Luzon, and Kennedy Davenport has made the haters BIG MAD. Lol, cry about it.
Ballerini also addressed gun violence during the ceremony. This woman is a blessing.
Thank you, Kelsea, for sharing your story with us 💙.@KelseaBallerini said it best: We need REAL action NOW. We need change NOW 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽. https://t.co/nU3SoF7Ehr

Kevin Costner, Taylor Sheridan, and the rest of the main cast of Yellowstone didn’t show up to the PaleyFest panel for the show, leaving fans who bought expensive tickets furious. What is going on over there, guys?
The Last of Us will film in Vancouver for season two. (Along with everyone else.)
You know I don’t spend much time talking about sportsball here, but this business of white men clutching their pearls because Angel Reese, a black NCAA basketball player trash-talked Caitlin Clark, a white NCAA basketball player — while using the same gesture that Clark had previously used — it makes my blood boil, y’all.
Classless piece of shit https://t.co/e2qo7g5iXi

What a fucking idiot https://t.co/C8dW0tukfP

Super ugly sportsmanship by Angel Reese towards Caitlin Clark considering how terrible the refs were on Iowa’s gameplay.. hated to see it pic.twitter.com/ZzLTSy2Cfv

Congratulations LSU over Iowa. But a great player Angel Reese taunted Caitlyn Clark for 13 seconds post game. I have totally lost respect for her. It wasn't enough to have just won the game but she had to make it personal and taunt other team. This is what is wrong today. So sad. pic.twitter.com/yYUagF3dS7
— David Borowicz (@djborow) April 2, 2023
Guys. Your racism is showing.
I mean …
“It was cute when Caitlin Clark did it. Y’all didn’t have any issues with it at all. So don’t be all outraged and talking about class and sportsmanship when Angel Reese does the same thing.”

But Angel Reese doesn’t need me or anyone else to defend her:
"I'm too hood, I'm too ghetto. Y'all told me that all year. But when other people do it, y'all don't say nothing. So this is for the girls that look like me."
Angel Reese is unapologetically her 👏 @Reese10Angel pic.twitter.com/9cuCWwayhA

Here is more than you ever wanted to know about that song that Zack sang to Irina on Love is Blind.
Bliss and Irina had some other food-based fights that didn’t make it into the show.
And Irina is finally sorry for being such an asshole on Love is Blind.
