Bust out your best chicken dance, ‘Arrested Development’ is returning to Netflix

There are few things I love more than a derpy lion:

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

EVERYONE: STAND DOWN. Arrested Development is staying on Netflix after all. There’s no word on what happened here, though I’d love to hear the backstory.

Bill Lawrence says that a Scrubs movie is all but inevitable. (Fun fact about Bill Lawrence: he is the great-great-grandson of the founder of Sarah Lawrence College, home of the sex cult and where my son is attending school. Another fun fact: Bill Lawrence went to William & Mary.)

Fox News has fired Abby Grossman, the producer who is suing them for trying to blame her for the Dominion Voting Systems mess.

Netflix plans to go green in the coming years. OK.

GIVE SNOOP DOGG A ROLE ON CORONATION STREET, YOU COWARDS.

Meanwhile, over in Mississippi, a TV meteorologist got herself fired for quoting Snoop. Not everyone can be Houston CW’s Adam Krueger.

A different Mississippi meteorologist also made headlines, for a very different and tragic reason. My deep sympathy for the people of Mississippi.

Millie Bobby Brown has written a novel.

The Simpsons predicted the future again.

A horse died on the set of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power and PETA is real mad about it.

Jennifer Aniston is ready to avenge Tanya on White Lotus. Make it happen.

Have we all watched last night’s Succession? If so, please enjoy the following:

Jesse Armstrong says he was hoping someone would talk him out of ending Succession with this season, but no one did. EXCUSE ME, WRITERS, YOU ALL HAD ONE JOB.

Vulture does a deep dive on the changes to the opening credits, and what clues they might contain:

A broadcast of ATN News Live shows the headline, “CHINA HACK COULD SEE 40M AMERICANS ENTOMBED IN THEIR ELECTRIC CARS.” As the TikTok hearings are underway in our reality, this doesn’t seem far off from the typical conservative spin on things.
A giant screen on the exterior of the Waystar Royco building broadcasts the news item, “DEEP STATE BLUNDER: CLASSIFIED DOCS DISPLAYED ON NBA JUMBOTRON.” The docs are largely redacted, so no clues there.
The ticker, on the other hand, is just pure silly Billy: “MANY WITH BIRD FLU CAN’T STOP THINKING OF DUCKS.”

Finally, Kieran Culkin wanted to cry when Sarah Snook told him that they would never work together again after Succession ends. HARSH MUCH, SNOOK?

Might Porsha return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta? “Never say never.”

Jen Shah’s prison sentence has been reduced by one year.

Amy Jo Johnson, the pink Power Ranger, would like to clarify why she didn’t appear in the reunion movie — or rather, not clarify:

Tyler James Williams has opened up about being a child actor on Everybody Hates Chris, and how the producer told him to his face that he would probably never work again. It must feel really good to collect that Abbott Elementary paycheck and think about that asshole each time. (Also, Williams was absolutely great on The Walking Dead. I know people are haunted by Carl and Glenn’s deaths on that show, but Noah’s death on that show has stayed with me as being particularly heartbreaking, even though he was only on the show for 10 episodes.)

You’ll see below that AMC has released trailers for the new Maggie/Negan series The Walking Dead: Dead City. And based on this TikTok, they are hard at work on the Daryl Dixon spinoff in Paris. That which walks while dead will never die.

ABC is dropping the American Music Awards after 50 years. The ceremony was created by Dick Clark Productions after ABC lost the broadcast rights to the Grammys to CBS. But awards ceremonies just aren’t the ratings spectaculars they used to be, so. The AMAs are being shopped around to other broadcasters, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Oh, hey, Kanye West has decided he “likes” Jewish people again thanks to … Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street? Is this a MadLib?
