The real-time collapse of Twitter is amazing and I can not look away

To all our veterans: thank you for your service.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Chris Rock will be the first comedian to perform live on Netflix sometime next year, and he’s promising to talk more about The Slap. I’m serious, that’s not a joke: “People expect me to talk about the bullshit, I’m not going to talk about it right now, I’ll get to it eventually, on Netflix,” he said.

Andor was never meant to be political, but history just has an infuriating way of repeating itself, especially when it comes to fascism.

Here’s a long piece about The Boys and the FX and stunts that ground a wild show in some sort of reality.

The producers of And Just Like That are promising that season two will feel more like Sex and the City. Oh great! So that means no Che, right?

Hold up, HBO Max kept making the Scooby Doo movie that they canceled back in August? I guess the reasoning is that it might one day be released, even though Warner Bros. Discovery was literally like, “This will definitely not see the light of day.”

Benioff and Weiss’ next project is a Netflix adaptation of Liu Cixin’s award-winning sci-fi novel The Three-Body Problem. However, China’s streaming platform has beaten them to the punch with an animated adaptation. You can watch the trailer here if you are curious.

Oh, damn, that LAPD chief that I mentioned had given Les Moonves and CBS a heads-up about the investigation into his sexual assault case is also tied to the Church of Scientology, and the case of the missing Shelly Miscavige, and Leah Remini is ON IT.

The Morning Joe team are threatening to make primetime inroads with quarterly or monthly specials. Can’t we just bring Rachel Maddow back every day instead?

Steve Kornacki has always been Steve Kornacki:

I’d tell you what’s going on over in the complete nuclear meltdown that is Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, but that shit is happening so quickly I can’t keep track. All I am saying is that it is NEVER a good sign when you learn a company in the middle of a catastrophe has fired its entire comms team.

This video from 13 hours ago summarizes the past two weeks pretty well, but I am sure by the time I’ve published this, we will have learned that Musk has transferred all of Twitter’s servers’ power to one Tesla battery to save on its electric bill or something equally insane:

Here’s a small sampling of Twitter enjoying the destruction of Twitter:

I am only seeing this now, but apparently Jim Messina, a former Obama advisor, went on Fox News after the midterms and while discussing the Republicans’ failures, he pointed to the abortion issue and said: “these women just went crazy.”

NOW. I am sure he didn’t mean that women were crazy to vote to protect their bodily autonomy, I’m sure he just meant women were impassioned and motivated by the Dobbs decision. I am trying very hard here to give this man the benefit of the doubt that he just meant they were enthusiastic.

However. Men, all men, I am speaking to you directly: NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, GENERALIZE THAT WOMEN ARE “CRAZY.” ABOUT ANYTHING. DON’T DO IT. IF YOU START TO HEAR THE WORD “CRAZY” COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH IN REGARD TO ANY WOMAN AT ANY TIME ABOUT ANY THING — EVEN IF SHE IS CERTIFIABLY CRAZY — STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WALK OUTSIDE AND TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE A WOMAN MURDERS YOU. I am just looking out for your safety.
