I mean, this is just a silly TV blog, and y’all don’t come here looking for my uninformed hot takes on international issues. But it would be weird to ignore the fact that World War III is about to break out. As you certainly know, Former President Would-Be-NATO-Destroyer’s boyfriend Vladimir Putin is on the verge of invading Ukraine, and the rest of the world is like ZOMG DON’T YOU DO IT WE ARE VERY SERIOUS. This is a thing that is actually happening while I’m busily writing my Bachelor blog! And it’s scary and bad and I don’t have anything really to add to the conversation about it except …

So, we know more about Jeff Zucker’s ouster at CNN:

Apparently, while CNN was investigating Chris Cuomo’s behavior in the wake of the allegations against his brother, Then-Governor Andrew Cuomo, the network received a letter from an anonymous woman who had previously worked at ABC. The letter claimed that in 2011, Chris Cuomo invited her to his office for lunch and to offer her career advice. Except, when she arrived, there was no lunch and he assaulted her. But we’re not done! Because then, during the height of the #MeToo movement, Cuomo contacted this woman out of the blue. He wanted to do a CNN segment on the company for whom she was now doing public relations in what was CLEARLY an attempt to buy her silence.

When Jeff Zucker received this letter which came on top of other allegations against Cuomo, he decided he could no longer hold off on firing him. However, Cuomo, pissed that he didn’t receive “due process,” lawyered up and began a whisper campaign against Zucker for similarly violating CNN’s code of conduct. Soon, the investigation into Cuomo’s behavior began looking into Zucker’s behavior, and the next thing you know, he’s resigning for having a relationship with an employee he supervised.

As for that employee, Allison Gollust, she has also recently resigned from CNN after trying her best to hang on there. As for why she was pushed out, some reports point to her relationship with Zucker, others suggest she had inappropriate conversations with Andrew Cuomo about interview topics.

Oh, and Andrew Cuomo isn’t in the clear yet, either: he’s now being sued by a state trooper who had previously accused him of touching her inappropriately.

Britney Spears has been invited to testify to Congress about her story.

Oh, and she’s also signed a $15 million book contract for a tell-all. Get the popcorn ready.

Armie Hammer is trying to stage a comeback. Gross. He is literally being investigated right now for violently raping at least one woman.

Jean-Luc Brunel, a model agent and an associate of Jeffrey Epstein who was in prison for rape and sexual harassment, was found dead in his cell from an apparent “suicide.”

Actor Columbus Short was charged with domestic violence.

Rapper Trey Songz has been accused of rape in a new lawsuit. He denies the allegations.

Millie Bobby Brown recently turned 18, and the way the internet was counting down the date to be able to sexualize her is a horrifying example of how female child stars are sexualized. (And she is certainly not the only one this happened to.)

What Kanye West is doing to Kim Kardashian is not “romantic” or harmless or funny. It’s abuse. And it’s dangerous.

Minka Kelly has also come forward saying that she talked Euphoria‘s creator Sam Levinson out of a nude scene that she felt was unnecessary. To Levinson’s credit, he seems willing to listen to his actresses when they complain.

Over in the U.K., half of the TV and film industry workforce has reported being bullied, harassed, or discriminated against.
