There’s a path, and people are trying to guide him through it, and all he has to do to get to the end is listen to them and follow their directions, and yet, he refuses, does what he wants, and he loses — spectacularly. HMMM. I CAN’T QUITE PUT MY FINGER ON WHAT THIS REMINDS ME OF.
