The Push: Can an ordinary person be turned into a murderer? This insane series tries to find out by tricking some poor soul who does not appear to be in on the experiment. I WOULD SUE EVERYONE. Series premiere. Netflix

Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac: Josh Duhamel somehow is the star in this miniseries about the murders of the rap stars. Series premiere. 9 p.m., USA

This is Us: Bachelor/Bachelorette party time! And somehow they’ll make us cry over this, too. 8 p.m., NBC


The Looming Tower: This miniseries is based on the Lawrence Wright book about how the 9/11 attacks happened. Sounds light. Hulu

Designated Survivor: Kirkman deal with his grief in the mid-season premiere. 9 p.m., ABC

Survivor: GHOST ISLAND. I am pretty sure there will be actual ghosts. Season premiere. 7 p.m., CBS


Atlanta: It’s the “Robin Season.” Season premiere. 9 p.m., FX

A.P. Bio: Hey, this dark — but very funny — little series is back in its regular time. 7:30 p.m. & 8:30 p.m., NBC

Gotham: The Toy Maker is hired to kill a doctor in the mid-season premiere. 7 p.m., Fox
