Mars: The Secret Science: Apparently, The Science Channel has decided to piggyback on this Mars hype and do their own series about the effort to colonize the red planet. Series premiere. 8 p.m., Science

Jane the Virgin: No particular reason. I just wanted to remind you that it’s a really charming, heartfelt series and that you should be watching. 8 p.m., The CW

TUESDAY

David Blaine: Beyond Magic: David Blaine is back to freak out you and a bunch of celebrities. 9 p.m., ABC

Good Behavior: Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary from Downton Abbey) stars in this new drama about a con artist who tries to go straight. Two-hour series premiere. 8 p.m., TBS

Shooter: Ryan Phillippe is a talented sniper who is recruited to protect the President from assassination and finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy. Series premiere. 9 p.m., USA

Billy on the Street: BILLY IS BACK TO SCREAM IN YOUR FACE. Season premiere. 9:30 p.m., TruTV

American Horror Story: A remarkably coherent season comes to an end with the trial of Lee. Season finale. 9 p.m., FX
