Bang My Box: The Robin Byrd Story: This documentary tells the story of Robin Byrd, host of the public access series, The Robin Byrd Show. Byrd was a champion for safe sex, the LGBTQ community, and HIV/AIDS awareness. Premiere. 8 p.m., HBO

Presidential 1776 Award: Kinda like a spelling bee, but about American civics and its founding. Can we nominate people to take this challenge? Because I have someone in mind I’d like to see answer some of these questions.  7 p.m., CBS
