Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Taylor Frankie Paul is currently on a press tour for a show that may not even air. Reportedly, ABC is in a panic over the domestic violence allegations against its lead of The Bachelorette, which is scheduled to premiere on Sunday. It doesn’t help that one of the sponsors of the show, Cinnabon, has terminated its relationship with both The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives over the story.
Meanwhile, Paul has been hitting ABC morning shows, including Live with Kelly and Mark! today where she opened by saying she has had “better days,” and added that “it took everything that day to get out of bed and make it” to the Oscars on Sunday.
On Good Morning America, Paul was asked if she would return to filming The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and she replied, “It’s hard to see past this, I’m not going to lie. It’s just so heavy when your life is broadcasted out there in these headlines, it’s like the end of the world. That’s what it feels like.”
Additionally, Paul gave a statement to Us Weekly:
“There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate,” Taylor exclusively told Us Weekly at a New York City press dinner on Tuesday, March 17, days before her debut as season 22’s Bachelorette. “It’s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position. And the mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well. So the headlines that are out right now are very hard to see because that’s not the truth of it. I have always treated my children with respect and I’ve never touched them. So it’s been really hard.”
And she told People Magazine that she doesn’t want to squander these “opportunities”:
“My heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time,” Taylor told People on March 17. “Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one… It’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today.”
“It’s just heavy. It’s a heavy time, and it’s unfortunate,” the MomTok influencer continued. “I’m struggling for sure, but also at the same time I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we’ve worked on and something super exciting that’s coming.”
Meanwhile, Paul’s ex, Dakota Mortensen, is claiming he has videos of the alleged abuse, which … if that’s true, and those were to come out after The Bachelorette debuts, could become an even bigger nightmare for ABC.
Mortensen’s representative has put out a statement to Entertainment Weekly:
“His number one priority here is protecting [their 2-year-old son], Ever,” the rep tells EW, denying the implication that Mortensen is the reason the situation has been made public. “He knew there was a possibility it could come out, but he was not going to be the one to proactively do that because he has always wanted a decent relationship with Taylor. It’s been really hard to achieve that, but he wants to co-parent well.”
Mortensen’s rep claims he was hoping the drama would de-escalate. “He was just hoping that if he says nothing, as he usually does, it would go away. He’s never done any kind of sit-down interview about his side,” the rep continued. “He kind of just lets it all happen to him, and I think he realizes with the severity of everything now that he just can’t do that.”
Former Bachelorette Charity Lawson’s timing is something:
@charity.lawson mental health >>> ratings this is not shade, but rather a psa 💕
Alysa Liu does not want to go on your Dancing with the Stars, thanks.
Genuinely, how is any of this legal?
The Oscars hit a four-year low in viewership.
MS Now is overhauling their schedule in June: Ali Velshi is taking over as host of The 11th Hour; Stephanie Ruhle is moving to a new morning show that will take over the last hour of Morning Joe; Alicia Menendez is taking over a morning anchor spot; Luke Russert is replacing Menendez on The Weeknight; and Ana Cabrera is leaving the network.
During his rant on Tuesday, Trump said: “They had me speaking something I never said, and I’ve never seen anything quite like it.” He added: “They put words in my mouth, and they said I said some pretty bad things. And I didn’t say them, it was AI-generated.”
That, friends, is FAKE NEWS. It’s an editing issue, not an AI issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines sold Chelsea Handler their toxic lemon of a house and she hasn’t been able to move in for five years. This is my shocked face.
