We lost an ALS warrior last night.

This is the energy I’m taking into the weekend.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

The Neighborhood, CBS’s current longest-running sitcom, filmed its final episode this week:

Tell Me Lies might be over, but Disney definitely wants more.

Somebody is being a pissy baby about not being the biggest story in the news these days. Christ, what an asshole.

Will Savannah Guthrie return to The Today Show? “Insiders” claim it’s unlikely.

A group of Senate Democrats is looking sideways at this Paramount bid for Warner Bros. and warning Paramount to preserve “communications with Trump, members of his family, and individuals associated or affiliated with the president.”

Meanwhile, James Cameron is not a fan of the Netflix takeover.

That turd Brendan Carr is now trying to dictate “patriotic” programming:

According to the FCC, Carr is “heeding this call” put forth by the Trump White House with the Pledge America Campaign, which “enables broadcasters to lend their voices in support of Task Force 250 and the celebration of America’s 250th birthday by airing patriotic, pro-America content that celebrates the American journey and inspires its citizens by highlighting the historic accomplishments of this great nation from our founding through the Trump Administration today.”

Oh, I could come up with some programming that would highlight the “historic accomplishments” of our country, but I don’t think Carr would approve of them.

My two current favorite shows are all of y’all’s current favorite shows, too, it would seem.

Kelly Clarkson opens up about the decision to end her show, and it’s for the reason you think.

Whoopi Goldberg apologized to an America’s Next Top Model contestant for years ago laughing at a clip of her being knocked down on a runway. The model in question took it all in good humor, noting that Whoopi allowed her to laugh at herself, but then noted that it’s interesting that she and the other contestants have received more of an apology from Whoopi than from Tyra. Snap.

Mike Flanagan doesn’t think that his best series could be made anywhere today.

And now I need this remake of The Wizard of Oz, which Daniel Radcliffe called “a bad idea and it should not be made,” to be made. Desperately.

A former American Idol contestant, Caleb Flynn, has been arrested for murdering his wife.

This Quinton Aaron “spiritual wife” story continues to get weirder. Just glad he seems to be recovering.

Love is dead. (But also, girl, you can do better.)

Hoping Bethanny Frankel gets better soon.

All of America yesterday … we’re so proud of you, Alysa Liu!

What’s that? The Supreme Court struck down President Pudding Brain’s tariffs? Hey, Alyssa, have something to say about that?

Eric Dane, Actor known for his roles on Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria, Charmed, The Last Ship, and others. Dane died from complications of ALS. As someone who lost her father to this horrible disease, I am grateful to Dane and his family for being so strong, honest, and public about his struggle, and his ongoing fight to bring awareness to the disease. I hope his daughters and loved ones find peace in the coming days and that his memory helps lead the charge in finding a cure.

A post shared by Target ALS Foundation (@targetals)

We are heartbroken by the passing of our friend Eric Dane—a fierce advocate, a generous spirit, and a true champion in the movement to end ALS.

Eric used his platform not for attention, but for action. From the moment he joined I AM ALS, he showed up with courage and conviction, asking how he could use his superpowers to help the movement grow. It was an honor to brainstorm with him, to walk alongside him in the halls of Congress on behalf of our community, amplify the urgent need for ACT for ALS and research funding, and drive toward treatments and, ultimately, a cure. He understood that ALS is not just a diagnosis; it is a call to action for families, for answers, and for change.

Eric brought humility, humor, and visibility to ALS and reminded the world that progress is possible when we refuse to remain silent. Eric was more than a supporter of our mission—he was part of our family. His impact will live on in the research being funded, the policies being advanced, and the community he helped grow by his honesty, his bravery, and his belief in a better future for anyone struggling with this diagnosis.

We honor Eric by continuing the work he believed in so deeply: mobilizing communities, driving critical research, securing essential funding, and fighting relentlessly for real solutions.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones and our entire community. I AM ALS will carry his legacy forward—until ALS is no more. — I AM ALS

“I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall we had a blast, didn’t we?” — Eric Dane to his family.

If you are moved to do so, you can help defeat ALS by donating to one or several of these organizations:

Jason Shumaker, Communications executive at MTV and VH1

David Hays, Broadway set and lighting designer and the founding artistic director of the National Theater of the Deaf

  1. I’m really bummed about The Neighborhood ending. The first half season took a while to find its legs but it has been reliably solid ever since.
