Was there even a question about who my cute animal of the day was going to be?

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
The huge news of the day is that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office, the first time a modern royal has ever been arrested in the U.K. (Not since Charles I in 1647.) This is related to the Jeffrey Epstein case: “BBC News reported that Thames Valley Police said they were assessing a complaint over the alleged sharing of confidential material by the former Prince with late sex offender Epstein.”
King Charles III released a statement on the arrest:
“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.
“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.
“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.
“As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.
“Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
Charles R.”
I’m hoping Virginia Giuffre’s family can find some sort of solace from this.
Between this historic moment and South Korea convicting a former President for insurrection, I’m feeling awfully jealous here in these United States.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air live after next week’s State of the Union Address (if the State of the Union even happens — I’m not sure that man will be able to do an address during his prime sundowning hours, but we’ll see).
LOL, pulling that Talarico interview was a spectacular backfire. One of these days, people will learn about the Streisand Effect.
So, the sheriff’s office that is investigating the Nancy Guthrie case has its own A&E reality show, Desert Law. I’m guessing you’ll be relieved to hear that they are not filming this case for the show because yikes.
So, they will be celebrating Kelly Ripa’s 25th anniversary at Live! tomorrow. (I admittedly have a parasocial relationship with Kelly Ripa: I watched her from her first day on All My Children, and then began watching her on Live with Regis and Kelly! when I was home for maternity leave with my first son — when she was pregnant with her daughter. She’s been a morning staple for me ever since, and my husband finds it borderline alarming that I talk about her and Mark Consuelos and their family as though they are acquaintances.)
CNN is changing its policies on its anchors promoting books on-air. HUH. WHY, JAKE TAPPER? HAVE ANY THOUGHTS?
There will be no big series finale episode of The Simpsons, should that day ever come. It will just be another episode.
Do not listen to Sonja Morgan; we love Sonja Morgan, but Sonja Morgan does not know what she’s talking about. Anyone who has watched The Real Housewives of New York could tell you that.
