Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Not only could the budget for that documentary about a First Lady have paid for the salaries of all the people The Washington Post laid off last week, it could have paid for their salaries three times over. The point is, as it is at CBS News, to kneecap powerful media outlets that stand as bulwarks against this government.

Oh — speaking of — 11 staffers, including 6 producers at CBS News, have accepted buyouts ahead of expected layoffs.

Wait, a showrunner admitted he made a mistake? I NEED TO SIT DOWN.

Jill Zarin fucked around and now she’s finding out. Oh well.

We have the Super Bowl ratings: at an average of  124.9 million viewers, it was the second-most-watched of all time, and the most-watched on NBC. As for Bad Bunny’s Halftime show, it was the fourth-most-watched in history with 128.8 million viewers. It comes behind Kendrick Lamar (133.5 million in 2025), Michael Jackson (133.4 million in 1993), and Usher (129.3 million in 2024).

Republicans want Bad Bunny’s Halftime show to be investigated for “choreography featuring overtly sexualized movements, including widespread twerking, grinding, pelvic thrusts and other sexually suggestive conduct” because this is the 1950s, Bad Bunny is Elvis Presley, and these idiots have apparently never seen what professional cheerleaders are up to during every NFL game all season long.

Team USA vs. the President of the United States. I’m Team USA all the way.

A Norwegian biathlete at the Olympics cheated on his girlfriend, and now he wants to make it all our problem. She’s not taking him back, by the way.

What could go wrong?

Congratulations to Alyssa Farrah Griffin and husband Justin on their new baby.

Get well soon, Bijou Phillips.

  1. This Super Bowl halftime stat – Michael Jackson (133.4 million) – is unbelievable when you think about how there were only around 260 million people living in America in 1993.
