Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Jimmy Kimmel will deliver Channel 4’s annual Alternative Christmas Message, which broadcasts after King Charles’s address to the nation. The theme of the message: “From a fascism perspective, this has been a really great year.”

Speaking of fascism, merely hours before it was set to air on 60 Minutes, a piece about the El Salvador detention center where the administration sent alleged illegal immigrants, was pulled from the broadcast by the new head of CBS News, Bari Weiss. The announcement was made via social media, reading: “EDITOR’S NOTE: The broadcast lineup for tonight’s edition of 60 Minutes has been updated. Our report ‘Inside CECOT’ will air in a future broadcast.”

Reportedly, Weiss spiked the story because of the lack in the piece of on-the-record statements from the government. It should be noted that the reporter, Sharyn Alfonsi, repeatedly reached out to the government for an official statement or reaction. None was ever offered.

It is shockingly bad practice, and I fear this is one more big step towards the end for 60 Minutes.

But also, methinks Ms. Weiss needs to look up “The Streisand Effect.”

I neglected to mention that John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois signed off as co-anchors of CBS Evening News on Thursday. Just two more casualties in Bari Weiss’s CBS.
But remember, none of this is happening in a vacuum. The destruction of CBS News began when the Ellisons purchased Paramount, and then furiously went about making the media company more palatable to their buddy in the White House. They are STILL trying to buy Warner Bros. (which owns CNN), and this weekend, Larry Ellison (father of David) offered to put up $40 billion of his own money to purchase the company, after the Warner Bros. board expressed concerns about where Paramount’s money was coming from. Still, they haven’t changed how much they’re offering, which some believe is still too low, so hopefully Warner Bros. will continue to rebuff them. Fingers crossed, because the last thing we need is for Paramount to be in charge of MORE media sources.
Meanwhile, Pierce Brosnan thinks the whole Netflix/Warner Bros. merger is icky.
Awww: Bowen Yang gave everyone at SNL Moo Deng plushies on his way out.
Royalists continue to refuse to believe that Prince Harry and Meghan’s deal with Netflix is working out for Netflix, and continue to make up wild reasons they still have a deal.
True fact: Jaclyn Smith and I attended both the same high school and the same university. (Not, I should note, at the same time.) I, however, did not graduate with the name of her doctor/Etsy witch because HOW DOES THIS WOMAN LOOK THIS GOOD AT 80?
I didn’t mention the Jake Paul/Anthony Joshua fight on Netflix here because 1. I hate boxing and 2. I hate Jake Paul. However, because I hate boxing, I had no idea who Anthony Joshua was, and I was unaware of his game. He knocked Paul out in 6, and broke his jaw in two places. Well done, sir.
