The ‘And Just Like That .. ‘ writers heard you, and, yeah, they don’t care. Never did.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Oh, hey, this fascist administration is beginning the “retribution” part of its campaign promises. THE FACT THAT I AM DEFENDING JOHN FUCKING WARMONGER BOLTON MAKES ME FUCKING FURIOUS.

Draggan Mihailovich, a producer for both 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II has been named the next executive director of the series after Bill Owens resigned in protest. I’m hopeful they’ve hired an insider who won’t just immediately roll over, but I suppose we’ll have to see.

Apparently, we will learn next week who, exactly, will be back for Saturday Night Live, as Lorne Michaels is teasing a “significant shake-up.” Che and Jost are leaving, right? My guess is: Michael Che, Colin Jost, Heidi Gardner, Mikey Day, and Devon Walker will not be back. Slight chance of Ego Nwodim – though she just hit it big last season, so she might want to stick around for another season.

And Just Like That‘s writers are like, “We heard you hated the finale, that you wanted more of Carrie with her friends, and we don’t care. Oh, you hated all the literal shit?  LOL. 🖕” I will give them this: they remained on-brand to the bitter end. And I mean bitter.

It was announced yesterday that the upcoming Office spinoff, The Paper, would all drop at once instead of being released once a week as previously planned. Pajiba has a grim take on this, but I remain hopeful that Peacock is just playing the bingeing card because that’s what they think people expect. We’ll see, I guess!

Erik Menendez has been denied parole after all that. Lyle Menendez’s parole hearing will take place today.

Please stop stalking Shemar Moore.

Ilona Maher says she’s been approached by the WWE, and I’m begging her to not go down this route. The WWE is notorious for its ambivalence towards its athletes and their physical health, and I genuinely think it would be a mistake for her to pursue a wrestling career, no matter how successful The Rock and John Cena might be.

Justice for Bored to Death. (Seriously, though, if you like Only Murders in the Building, go watch Bored to Death on HBO Max.)

Mariah Carey will be honored with the Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs.

Apollonia is suing Prince’s estate, and this, friends, is why doves cry.

Here’s hoping that Lil Nas X gets the help that he needs. (Unless this is a publicity stunt, which some people seem to think it is.)
