UPDATED WITH PREMIERE DATES: What you’ll be watching on ABC this fall

It’s early May, which means one thing: it’s time to start thinking about what we’ll be watching in the fall. Below is a preview of ABC’s new fall and midseason series, a look at ABC’s 2025-2026 schedule, a list of the shows that have been renewed for at least another year, the unlucky few that have been canceled, and a handful of shows that are still awaiting their fates.

Of all the safe schedules that we have seen for fall 2025-2026, ABC’s is the Most Safest. They literally have greenlit one (1) new show for the entire season. THE ENTIRE SEASON. And that new show is a spinoff of one of their popular dramas. Now, of course, that doesn’t mean they can’t greenlight other new series down the line: the “seasons” in TV development are no longer strictly defined, and ABC has plenty of room to surprise everyone. But still! ONE. SHOW. ONE.

New Fall Shows

9-1-1: Nashville

Official synopsis:

The newest entry into the franchise, 9-1-1: Nashville, is a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities. The all-new series stars Chris O’Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. 9-1-1:

T’s Take: Yet another chapter of Ryan Murphy’s batshit insane emergency services procedural, this time set in Nashville, so I’m expecting a number of country music cameos (all those singers will have to go somewhere without a Bachelor season to count on) and at least one episode that involves a disaster at a bachelorette party.
