Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Somehow, footage from the canceled Powerpuff Girls series at The CW leaked in the form of a trailer on YouTube. The CW claims that an official trailer was never produced, but it’s possible this was made for Upfronts or Comic-Con:

🚨BREAKING🚨: For the first time ever, enjoy the trailer to the cancelled adult-oriented Powerpuff Girls live-action CW reboot. Full trailer here: archive.org/details/Powe…

Walton Goggins was bitten by one of those snakes on The White Lotus.

The Hollywood Reporter has a good piece on what happened to make the Broccolis give up Bond to Amazon, and it boils down to a few moving parts: Amazon pushed to create more “content” which the family hated; Barbara Broccoli’s half-brother and producing partner decided to retire recently, leaving her alone to handle the franchise; and a Wall Street Journal piece came out claiming that Broccoli called the Amazon folks “fucking idiots,” angering Jeff Bezos: “He read her quote in the Journal and got on the phone and said, ‘I don’t care what it costs, get rid of her,’ ” is how one insider describes what happened, confirming that what Bezos ended up paying for the franchise was close to a billion dollars.

People are tuning into Beyond the Gates, the first new soap opera on network TV in more than 25 years. The first numbers coming in are encouraging: its ratings are 78% higher than The Talk, which it replaced. Will this encourage other networks to produce more soap operas? I wish, but it’s unlikely — news and talk programs remain much cheaper to produce. But what I would give for ABC to bring back All My Children and One Life to Live … one can dream.

Speaking of All My Children, there was a mini-reunion on Live with Kelly and Mark yesterday.

An Unsolved Mysteries case has been solved: a missing child who was kidnapped by his non-custodial parent was found alive and safe.

Millie Bobby Brown’s name is not Millie Bobby Brown.

Kelsey Grammer is mad at Paramount+ for not promoting Frasier enough. He’s still shopping it around.
