Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Rachel Maddow, perhaps the most valuable prime-time host at MSNBC, called out her network for firing Joy Reid, Katie Phang, Alex Wagner and the rest who lost their shows in the past couple of days, and all of the production folks at MSNBC whose jobs are apparently being threatened during this turmoil.

“It’s not my call, and I understand that,” she told viewers. “But that’s what I think. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we have two—count them, two—non-white hosts in prime time, both of our non-white hosts in prime time are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend. And that feels worse than bad, no matter who replaces them. That feels indefensible. And I do not defend it.”

Don Lemon is out here defending Joy Reid from Megyn Kelly, and I have very mixed feelings about that. Because yeah! fuck you Megyn Kelly! But ugh, Don Lemon? That guy?

Mike White supposedly instructed Jason Isaacs to watch Southern Charm to model his Southern accent on, and I’m here to let Mike White know it did not work. Unless he was watching Southern Charm: Melbourne

People are accusing Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, of ripping off Pamela Anderson’s cooking series Pamela’s Cooking With Love on Food Network Canada. Anderson’s show released a trailer in October, though the show didn’t premiere until yesterday; Markle’s show was originally scheduled to premiere in January before it was moved to March because of the California wildfires. Color me cynical, but when you consider production schedules and these shows were likely filming at the same time, I’m pretty sure this is just another example of people hating on Meghan Markle no matter what she does.

Fans of The Neighborhood are stressed that it wasn’t among the nine shows that CBS renewed last week. I suspect they are waiting to announce the renewal at the same time they announce they’ve greenlit a spinoff series, but I could be very wrong.

Karla SofĂa GascĂłn will be in attendance at The Oscars on Sunday, though I’m sure Netflix isn’t thrilled about it.

Hey, remember how HBO was developing a series based on Parasite with Adam McKay? Yeah, me neither. Anyway, it’s still in development, don’t worry.

Things got … tense between Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward on the “Pod Meets World” podcast.

Jon Stewart’s hand is fine. He cut it on a broken coffee mug during a Daily Show monologue, and joked that he might need to go to the hospital but he’s OK. But somehow this is not the first time he’s hurt himself during filming? “It’s not the first time the host had sustained an on-air injury, once cutting his wrist during a 2011 segment about representative Anthony Weiner.” What?

Sean Combs’ lawyer wants off the case: Anthony Ricco, the man who represented the mastermind behind the World Trade Center bombing and OSAMA BIN LADEN, now says that there are “no circumstances” under which he can continue to represent Combs.

Combs is suing NBC for $100 million over the Peacock documentary, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, because he claims they accused him of killing Kim Porter.

Meanwhile, Combs is being sued by three new women for assault.

The case against Jay-Z and Combs in which they were accused of raping a 13-year-old girl has been dropped by Tony Buzbee. Jay-Z claims Buzbee tried to shake him down over another allegation of raping a 16-year-old boy, too.

Blake Lively filed an amended complaint in her suit against Justin Baldoni claiming two more women are prepared to come forward with their stories about Baldoni making them uncomfortable on the set of It Ends With Us, and have been the victims of threats.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter wrote a completely insane piece suggesting that all of this is one big misunderstanding, a clash of cultures, if you will, because Justin Baldoni is Baha’i. This is completely insane and clearly a hail mary on Baldoni’s crisis team’s part. Also, the art used for the story is … weird. Lively’s pretty pissed about it: ‘The Hollywood Reporter should be ashamed of itself. The framing in this picture is outrageously insulting as it plays into every sexist trope about women who dare file a workplace complaint, turning them into the aggressor, and suggesting they deserve the retaliation that comes their way. In addition, the story is extremely offensive as it incredibly seems to explain away documented examples of sexual harassment and retaliation by calling them ‘cultural misunderstandings.'”

Colleen Hoover, the author of It Ends With Us, wants nothing more to do with this Baldoni/Lively mess.

Honestly, all I need to know about this entire case is that Megyn Kelly is Team Baldoni.

Of course this administration is advocating on Andrew Tate’s behalf. Obviously.

Olivia Munn says she was offered a seven-figure sum to sign an NDA about a traumatic incident on the set of a film, but she refused both. Everyone is pretty sure Brett Ratner was involved, though that’s just speculation.

Denise Richards says that she was told she would be blacklisted if she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit early in her career.

Maya Hawke recalls a director telling her that she was “prettier with my mouth closed.”

Nicole Kidman has a plan for gender parity in Hollywood: work with more female filmmakers.

Michael B. Jordan is cheering Jonathan Majors on, which is disappointing.

Also disappointing? Lisa Vanderpump’s comments defending James Kennedy.

And Brian Cox continues defending Kevin Spacey. IT’S NOT NECESSARY, BRIAN.

Hey, Brian? Maybe you should talk to Guy Pearce about your buddy Kevin: “I was sort of scared of Kevin because he’s quite an aggressive man. He’s extremely charming and brilliant at what he does — really impressive, etc. He holds a room remarkably. But I was young and susceptible, and he targeted me, no question.”

Kevin Spacey denies he targeted Guy Pearce.

The Apprentice director Ali Abbasi publicly apologized for allegedly groping an “A-List actor” at a Golden Globes party last month.

Eric Mabius was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in a bar fight.

Michael Lohan was arrested for assaulting his wife, Kate Major. In unrelated news, when did Michael Lohan move to Harris County?

Former Kansas City Chiefs player Kadarius Toney was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman.
