I get it, Enzo. I’m with you.
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Not sure why Thanksgiving inspires such great TV, but it does, and Entertainment Weekly has a collection of 30 classic episodes to watch to get you in the mood to eat a bunch of brown foods with your family.
But somehow there’s not a single Bob’s Burgers episode on that list, so here’s a list of all the best Bob’s Burgers Thanksgiving episodes.
Hulu and Disney+ are getting in on the Black Friday discounts: You can get ad-supported Hulu for 12 months for 99¢ a month, or bundle ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu for $3 a month.
Brett Goldstein has confirmed that Ted Lasso is heavily inspired by The Wizard of Oz, which many fans — including us — have been speculating about for a while now.
“Oh yeah, there’s loads and loads of The Wizard of Oz in Ted Lasso,” Goldstein says when asked point blank if the show is a retelling. “The pinball machine is the one that’s always ‘Ted has to go home. There’s no place like home.’ And then, there’s no place like Richmond F.C. Yes, that’s all Wizard of Oz.“
Goldstein took things a step further, clarifying who each character on Ted Lasso was meant to represent in the story. “I’m the Tin Man,” he says of his own character, Roy Kent. “Ted is Dorothy, Rebecca’s the Lion, and the Scarecrow is Jamie.”
And Coach Beard is clearly Toto.
It sounds like both the Bachelor and the Bachelorette won Dancing with the Stars this season.
Kathy Griffin has a very NSFTV pitch to become the next Golden Bachelorette.
This is a nice piece explaining what is going on with MSNBC and Elon Musk’s threats to buy it and why that is unlikely to happen for a number of reasons — mostly because creating an even more cretinous Fox News with Joe Rogan and Alex Jones wouldn’t actually benefit anyone.
However, Elon Musk is now claiming that despite buying InfoWars and everything it owned, The Onion may not take ownership of InfoWars’s Twitter accounts because Twitter users don’t actually own their accounts, Twitter does. This is a remarkably dangerous legal argument, not just because it throttles free speech, but because it opens the door to Twitter taking over any account and using it for any sort of nefarious purposes. It’s not great! Anyway, come follow me on Bluesky. It’s better there.
Oh boy, Drake is doubling down with his lawsuits. He really should have just walked into the woods and stayed there until everyone forgot about him.
Former ABC News World News Now anchor Kendis Gibson has opened up about how the culture at ABC News harmed his mental health and led to a suicide attempt. According to Gibson, he received a warm welcome from the hosts of Good Morning America, but:
Gibson said that off-air, an unnamed Black correspondent warned him, “Welcome to Mickey’s plantation.” When Gibson asked the person to elaborate, he claims he was told, “You’ll find out.”
If you or anyone you know is having suicidal thoughts, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or dial 988. If you or a loved one are in immediate danger, call 911.
