I am in New York, and happened to see one of these flyers on my walk the other day — too late to attend, sadly:

But TikTok did not disappoint:

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
THREE WEEKS UNTIL ELECTION DAY. Do you have a plan to vote?
Kamala Harris will do an interview on Fox News with Bret Baier tomorrow, and Former President Incompetence will LOSE HIS MIND.
Post by @kamalahqView on Threads
I almost can’t wait for the deranged tweets truths.
Ever since President Biden dropped out of the race and Kamala Harris replaced him, people have insisted that Former President Dementia would begin rapidly decompensating, that he wouldn’t be able to hold it together and we would see a psychological meltdown on his part. And yeah, we did: “They’re eating the dogs; they’re eating the cats; they’re eating the pets” is not something a mentally healthy person says out loud, much less on a national stage. But for the most part, what we have seen from Former President Cognitive Test has just been more of the same insanity that he’s dumped on us for the past 9 years, albeit with more mispronunciations and mistakes.
That is until these past few days: at a rally in Arizona, he referenced the “many Azerasians” in attendance:
Some serious teleprompter fail when Trump tries to say “Arizonans” at his rally in AZ today 😳🤦♂️pic.twitter.com/EFUvRmnlcq

And then, there was last night’s town hall in Pennsylvania. After answering four (4) questions, the town hall was slightly disrupted by two attendees who fainted in the crowd. (They were taken care of and are fine.) But once the issues were dealt with, instead of returning to the questions from the audience, Former President Double Jerkoff Dance decided to just start playing music so he could stand on the stage and awkwardly sway … for more than half an hour. I can not stress enough how weird and broken this is.

And even when he wasn’t DJing the world’s weirdest dance party, when he was answering questions, he really wasn’t.

And this would almost be funny for the sheer weirdness of it all, except for this terrifying bit, when Former President Why Isn’t He In Jail Yet railed against the “enemies from within” and “radical left lunatics” who he wants to be dealt with by the National Guard or the military.
Trump to Bartiromo on what worries him about election day: “I think the bigger problem is the enemy from within … sick people, radical left lunatics. And it should be easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.” pic.twitter.com/twRsilNJnz
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 13, 2024
And just in case you think he was speaking generally … NO. He specifies Representative Adam Schiff, for instance, saying later in the interview: “The thing that’s tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff.”
And while all of that is terrifying (especially for tiny TV bloggers who have used her platform for the past 8 years to rail against this asshole), it’s the complicity from the GOP, even from the “moderate” ones; it’s their spinelessness, it’s their unwillingness to take this man seriously and at his word that sends real chills down my spine:

Because if they are out here now — ahead of the election, ahead of him being in power — making excuses for him, what happens once he’s in power? Is Governor Youngkin going to send in the National Guard to round up the “radical leftists” in Virginia if President Fascist asks him to in 2025?
This is not a drill:

I guess we can take solace that at least Geraldo Rivera gets it.
Sore Loser
With three weeks to go until Election Day, Donald J. Trump stands a reasonable chance of becoming the 47th President of the United States. Despite assassination attempts, impeachments, special counsels, felony convictions and hundreds of millions in civil penalties,…— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) October 14, 2024
A reminder for my fellow Harris County voters: Early voting begins on October 21. Voting will be available on the weekend of the 26-27, and will be open until 9 p.m. on some nights (see below). Make a plan, friends:

Jeopardy! question for the crowd: Should a Final Jeopardy clue be based on a tweet or some other piece of social media? I am genuinely curious what the bylaws are on this.
Someone please write a good role for the delightful Julia Duffy, and make her a real character, dammit.
Mark Cuban says he’s done with reality television now that he’s leaving Shark Tank.
Jeremy Strong says that he’s done playing Kendall Roy. He recently discussed how his work on Succession emotionally drained him: “It fucked me up” and “I sometimes lost touch with joy.” Unsurprisingly, he’s not looking towards some sort of sequel or revival.
#MeToo
Six new lawsuits have been filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs. They are the first lawsuits from Tony Buzbee, and the plaintiffs include a man who says he was 16 at the time, three other men who say Diddy raped them, and a woman who was a 19-year-old college freshman. Buzbee is threatening more lawsuits. Combs denies all of the allegations.
Meanwhile, Piers Morgan had controversial singer Jaguar Wright on his show recently, where she made a number of accusations against Jay-Z and Beyoncé, claiming they have as many victims as Combs. (She has also made some salacious allegations against Jay-Z and Beyoncé regarding the untimely death of singer Aaliyah, though not on Piers Morgan’s show, so far as I can tell.) Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s lawyers were quick on the phone, and Morgan had to apologize.
Please think of the C-list rappers who no longer have Diddy’s parties to go to.
Abi Kelly, R. Kelly’s daughter, claims her father sexually abused her as a child.
Lauren Pisciotta, Kanye West’s former assistant who sued him for sexual harassment, has amended her complaint to add an accusation that he drugged her and sexually assaulted her. And according to Pisciotta, he told his now-wife, Bianca Censori, that he wanted to have sex with her mother while she watched. This man needs to go back on his meds.
Another Golden Bachelorette contestant had a restraining order out against him before being on the show. His ex-wife who filed the order withdrew it a few weeks later. OK, but you guys, what is ABC even doing over there? Look, I know no files were charged against him but … there’s no right to be on a reality show. ABC could just … not cast people who have had restraining orders filed against them, even if they were withdrawn. Surely we can find 23-25 men who have not been accused of bad behavior, right?
Garth Brooks’ accuser’s lawyers are furious that his lawyers revealed her name in his legal response to her accusations.
Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón says his office is reviewing new evidence against Marilyn Manson. Game of Thrones actress and Manson-accuser Esmé Bianco is furious with Gascón for waiting so long, and is accusing him of only announcing this now for political purposes.
British rapper Yung Filly was arrested in Australia for rape and assault.
A woman has accused Sage the Gemini of assaulting her in Chris Brown’s house in 2017.
The BBC is banning the use of the word “talent” in an effort to fix the workplace culture.
