Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Bridgerton had its own Willy Wonka moment. In Detroit, an event was billed as a “Bridgerton Themed Ball,” promising, “an evening of sophistication, grace, and historical charm,” and “a night like no other filled with music, dance, and exquisite costumes,” for only $150-$1,000 a ticket.
It was not that:
@kiimberyly Dearesr gentle readers, Enjoy my POV on unclenme bridgerton ball… YIKES #bridgertonball #unclenme #scammers #detroitbridgerton

A STRIPPER. I am not laughing (I am laughing). To be VERY CLEAR, this event was not affiliated or approved by Netflix, but instead run by some organization known as “Uncle N Me LLC.”
And look, I sympathize: as someone who lives in a city that is overlooked by these sorts of official events from media companies — you’re never going to see Netflix host a Bridgerton event in Houston or Detroit — it sucks to be left out. And maybe Netflix and others need to try touring with these events instead of only hosting them in New York and Los Angeles. But I’m begging you, don’t go to unofficial events. It sucks much worse to have your money taken by unscrupulous people who serve you raw chicken and pole dancers and call it a day.
How about we don’t report every brain fart that Former President Big Brain utters, CNN.
Ryan Murphy reacted to Erik Menendez’s criticism of his miniseries Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, by saying they were trying to give all perspectives on the crime: “I think the show is very interesting—what we’re trying to do is show many, many, many, many perspectives. In every episode, you are given a new theory based on people who were either involved or covered the case.”
So, Joe Millionaire was super gross, and the producer is sorry now. OK.
Disney+ is going to start cracking down on password sharing.

The layoffs have come for Paramount+. And more are coming.
This is an amazing story: a fan of The Terror happened to be a naval historian who then went on to help identify the remains of one of the men who died in the real life events that inspired the series.

For my spooky girlies out there, the notorious Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado will be taken over by Peacock next month for immersive two-day stays in rooms inspired by The Purge, Insidious, Freaky, and Happy Death Day. If this sounds like a good time to you, you already know that The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for Stephen King’s iconic novel, The Shining. And if you know that, you also know that the article in the link above mistakenly uses a picture of the Timberline Lodge in Oregon, which served as the exterior shots for The Shining, the Stanley Kubrick film, but has nothing to do with The Stanley Hotel where this event is taking place. Some editor didn’t do their job is what I’m saying.

My heart genuinely goes out to Bret Favre and his family upon news of his Parkinson’s diagnosis. It’s a terrible disease that I have had the misfortune to have been up close witness to, and one has to wonder if his time playing football contributed to it.
