Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Last night was the first night of the Democratic National Convention and I’m not sure what was my favorite moment:

Reverend Warnock’s come to Jesus speech:

Jasmine Crockett’s story of being vulnerable with Kamala and her dig at Former President Housing Discrimination:

AOC’s fierce moment, cementing her as a future leader in this party:

Hillary Clinton’s entire, gracious, moving, and rousing speech.

Or maybe just her taking a moment to enjoy the crowd yelling “LOCK HIM UP.”

@msnbc

“Lock him up” chants ring out for Donald Trump during former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks at the Democratic National Convention. #dnc #democraticnationalconvention #clinton #hillaryclinton #lockhimup

These brave people:

Or Joe Biden’s beautiful, powerful, speech that cemented his legacy, passed the torch, and placed a capstone on his career:

@msnbc

President Biden delivers a historic speech at the DNC saying he has given his “heart and soul to our nation” for 50 years. Biden saying he was “blessed” with the “love and support of the American people” and says he’s “grateful” to all. #biden #heart #soul #dnc #politics #joebiden #thankyoujoe

“I love the job, but I love my country more,” Biden said, before adding: “And all this talk about how I’m angry at all those people who said I should step down, that’s not true. I love my country more. And we need to preserve our democracy in 2024.

“America, America, I gave my best to you.

“I made a lot of mistakes in my career, but I gave my best to you,” the president continued as an almost chorus. “For 50 years, like many of you, I gave my heart and soul to our nation, and I have been blessed a million times in return with the support of the American people.”

I’m not sure which was the most moving. Needed more Hulk Hogan.

Meanwhile, that clown George Santos had a hard Monday: first, he pled guilty to multiple federal charges, and then his frivolous lawsuit against Jimmy Kimmel was dismissed. Sad trombone noises here.

You know who else hated Former President Weirdo?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus reminds us that Vice President Harris and Vice President Meyer aren’t actually similar: “Let me explain to you: On Veep, I played a narcissistic, megalomaniac sociopath, and that is not Kamala Harris,” said Louis-Dreyfus. “It might be another candidate in the race.”

As for Maya Rudolph, yeah, we can expect to see her on SNL.

Fox News has become mildly obsessed with Kamala Harris’ story about eating a bag of Doritos when Former President Orange Residue was elected and I don’t know what to even say about this as I was LITERALLY EATING A BAG OF DORITOS WHEN I WATCHED THIS:

And I should put this in dates but MBIDWIW, Seth Meyers has set “A Closer Look” primetime special to air after Vice President Harris and Former President Diapers debate on September 10.

The Olympics boosted TV viewing overall and was a big hit for Peacock.

Julianne Hough basically confirms that Bobby Bones was the least deserving Dancing with the Stars winner and I am here for the disrespect (even if I have no idea who the hell “Bobby Bones” is).

Hallmark star Mamie Laverock is home from the hospital after suffering a five-story fall. Hoping that she fully recovers.

Oh hey, Disney has second thoughts about using the user agreement for Disney+ in that wrongful death lawsuit brought against them after they poisoned that woman.

#MeToo

Back in March, Disney released X-Men 97, an animated series, days after firing its creator without any explanation — which was even stranger after the series was well-received. In recent days, that creator, Beau DeMayo, who is gay, is claiming Disney fired him for posting some LGBTQ content on his private social media. But Disney/Marvel, when pressed for comment, is claiming that DeMayo was fired following an internal investigation into unspecified “egregious” conduct. And now it sounds like DeMayo is suing Disney, along with other fired employees.

I have to confess: I have no idea what is going on with the It Ends with Us controversy: there were multiple cuts of the film? director Justin Baldoni made Blake Lively uncomfortable by kissing her a little too long and fat-shaming her? but Lively herself fat-shamed a reporter and suggested she was pregnant when she wasn’t? everyone hates Baldoni? but also Lively and book author Colleen Hoover are marketing hair care and coloring books off the back of a movie about domestic abuse? It’s all very messy.

Olympic Gold Medalist boxer Imane Khelif is suing Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling among others for “acts of aggravated cyber harassment” after they, among others, accused her of being a man.

Meanwhile, a child rapist cried about how mean people were to him when he was allowed to participate in the Games.

Adria English, a woman who had sued Sean Combs for sex-trafficking her at his White Parties, has filed a police report against him and is working with the feds.

Nick Carter is being sued by three women over sexual misconduct allegations; he’s countersuing one of them, while another of his countersuits was just thrown out

Michael Madsen was arrested for domestic violence.

Julie Bowen opened up about how the press was desperate for her to be feuding with Sofia Vergara on Modern Family: “They were just determined to pit us against each other, like we hated each other,” she said. “It’s this scarcity mindset that there’s only one woman who can be happy at a time.”

Julianne Hough has opened up about being sexually molested as a child and how “Nobody did anything.”

Kevin Spacey is now both a sex pest and a squatter.

Please don’t threaten actresses for playing fictional characters.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND GRANDMA JOAN DICK PICS.

A small collection of women who do not give a fuck about what you think: Halle Berry; Katie Holmes; Christina Aguilera.
