After his disastrous debate performance, President Biden will sit down for an interview with George Stephanopoulos at ABC News on Friday.

Stephanopoulos will interview Biden on Friday, with the “extended” interview, as ABC News terms it, set to air on Sunday on This Week and Good Morning America on Monday. The first portions of the interview will air on World News Tonight on Friday evening, with more on the weekend editions of GMA.

Not sure that’s going to be enough, but we’ll see.

Maya Hawke has given an intriguing update on Stranger Things, season 5: “We’re making, basically, eight movies. The episodes are very long.”

Bridgerton continues to be the most-streamed series on all platforms with over 2 billion minutes watched, but you might be surprised at what number 2 is. You’ll definitely not guess #5.

In an article about the weird backlash to the Penelope/Colin relationship in Bridgerton, Forbes wrote an article with the headline: “Are We Still Not Ready For A Mixed-Weight Romance On Screen?” Which … ~sigh~. Look, I read the article, and it is a well-intentioned attack on fatphobia. The problem lies in that headline, which, if you’ve not worked in the business you might not realize the author most often has nothing to do with — headlines are usually written by copy editors. (I don’t know for certain that this happened in this occasion, but it is usually how it works.)

In any event, people took exception to 1. the phrase “mixed-weight relationships” because, lol wut? All relationships are “mixed-weight.” Additionally, no one gets bent out of shape about “mixed-height relationships.” But 2. as many people pointed out, we’re totally cool with TV depicting “mixed-weight relationships” — as long as the dude is the heavy one.

Twelve writers and staff have accused Steve Blackman, the showrunner of The Umbrella Academy of “long history of toxic, bullying, manipulative, and retaliatory behavior.” They accuse him of pitting writers against each other, of “making sexist, homophobic, and transphobic comments” and firing a female writing team after one of them became pregnant. He denies the allegations.

Kanye West and his former chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos — who is a whole other mess — are being sued for basically hiring people, some of whom were minors, to work on West’s streaming app and then refusing to pay them, referring to them “slaves.” Also, they allege West’s wife Bianca Censori sent hard-core porn to some of the workers who were minors.

Grammy-winning producer Diplo is being sued for distributing revenge porn.

Winner of American Ninja Warriors season 11, Andrew ‘Drew’ Drechsel, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sex crimes against children.

The sexual assault lawsuit filed against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been dismissed.

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston has posted about what she experienced after being raped, and how the justice system failed her. She has not given any details about the rape itself or when it happened.

“Sean Diddy Combs Day” has been revoked by Miami.

Netflix stars have taken to social media to claim that Bryton Constantin of Perfect Match was homophobic, transphobic, and overall toxic both on the series and off, and have demanded that Netflix take away his platform. 

David Foster always has been an asshole.

Over in France:

French directors Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon were taken into custody for questioning by the police over allegations of sexual assault made by director and actress Judith Godrèche.

French producer and director of the CNC (National Cinema Centre) Dominique Boutonnat has been given a three-year sentence for sexually assaulting his godson.
