Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Leah McSweeney is the most recent Housewife to sue Bravo and Andy Cohen. McSweeney claims that they knew she had issues with alcoholism and plied her with alcohol to induce a breakdown for ratings purposes. She also is claiming Cohen sexually harassed her by asking her questions on air about her sex life and body, and that Cohen frequently uses cocaine with his favorite Housewives. Cohen’s representative says, “the claims against Andy are completely false!”
McSweeney is the third Housewife to sue Bravo in the past few months: Caroline Manzo has sued for sexual harassment, as has Brandi Glanville. I can’t imagine Bravo firing Andy Cohen, but this is not a great look for the network, Andy, or the Housewife empire in general.
OH YAY, NETFLIX IS GOING TO RAISE IT’S RATES AGAIN.
EXCUSE ME, BUT YOU BETTER NOT BE RAISING MY RATES SO THAT YOU CAN PRODUCE BROADWAY SHOWS, NETFLIX.
The drama with Roadhouse never seems to end: 1. Jake Gyllenhaal has chimed in on the controversy about whether or not it was originally intended to be streamed (it always was, according to him) and 2. The original screenwriter R. Lance Hill has sued Amazon MGM for copyright infringement.
That’s My Jam has hit a production wall due to scheduling complications.
People are out here saying that Beyoncé stole “This Ain’t Texas” from the Franklin theme song, but I’m not hearing it.
Carmen Electra is once again Tara Leigh Patrick and good for her for reclaiming her birth name, but I can’t help but think this is just an attempt to remind everyone that she had a brief affiliation with Prince.
It’s the end of an era: a malign, cynical era that has left us with fewer rights, more vicious, unthinking partisanship, and a possible return of Former President Insurrectionist.
