‘Game of Thrones’ was supposed to end with three movies — let’s be grateful it didn’t.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Sam Waterson’s final episode of Law & Order was last night — after 19 years and 405 episodes. Here’s how he went out if you missed it.

Tyler Perry has paused an $800 million expansion of his studio in Atlanta that would have added 12 soundstages and presumably countless new jobs because he saw how rapidly AI is developing and how transformative it will be in the business. Which is unfortunate! And scary! BUT THEN IN THE NEXT BREATH, this same man is out here worrying about what AI will do to entertainment jobs. SIR.

It makes me worry so much about all of the people in the business. Because as I was looking at it, I immediately started thinking of everyone in the industry who would be affected by this, including actors and grip and electric and transportation and sound and editors, and looking at this, I’m thinking this will touch every corner of our industry.

YOU DON’T SAY? What, do you think studios will scrap plans to build physical locations for filming and associated jobs will be lost as a result?

Benioff and Weiss have a lot to say about HBO and the “dysfunction” they dealt with under the AT&T regime. They also confirm that the original plan for was to end Game of Thrones with three feature-length films (as George R.R. Martin had suggested in an interview) but that AT&T wanted them to film them to be watchable on phones, and had no plans to release them theatrically because it’s “Home Box Office” not “Away Box Office.” (Frankly, I’m relieved they didn’t end it with three movies, because even if each movie was three hours long, that would still have been less story than the way-too-little story we received with the final two seasons.)

That new sports app that everyone is so bunched up about will be available to bundle with a subscription to Max. If they also include a bundle with Hulu and Disney+, we can talk — though I’m still waiting to hear what the price will be.

The Wendy Williams drama continues: her guardian has now filed a lawsuit against A&E ahead of the premiere of the documentary she produced. Where is Wendy Williams? is scheduled to premiere tomorrow night.

Fox News never disappoints. These are two stories from the past 24 hours:

Mike Lindell fucked around, Mike Lindell is finding out.

Love is dead.

Happy Go Texan Day! (For those of y’all outside of Houston, don’t worry about it.)
