Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Hulu is the latest streamer that is cracking down on password sharing and as the parent of TWO college kids who do not live in the same state much less in the house, lemme tell ya, this really chaps my hide. But thanks to Netflix seeing a surge in new subscribers when they instituted their password crackdown, this was inevitable.
Hulu is also threatening to cancel subscriptions of users who violate this new policy at their discretion: “We may, in our sole discretion, analyze the use of your account to determine compliance with this Agreement,” the message read. “If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Agreement, we may limit or terminate access to the Service and/or take any other steps as permitted by this Agreement.”
The change takes effect immediately for new subscribers, and for us old subscribers, it kicks in on March 14. UNHAPPY.
Larry David viciously attacked Elmo on The Today Show this morning and Elmo’s dad threatened to sue and I’m not even kidding. David later apologized.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS YEAR, YOU GUYS?
The Daytime Emmys are doing away with the Outstanding Younger Performers category after nearly 40 years. They’ve also tweaked some other categories, but not in ways you’ll ever notice as a casual viewer.
This is surprising, but TV creators who specifically chose to work with streamers because there wouldn’t be commercial breaks aren’t happy with those same streamers now chopping up their shows with commercials. Huh!
Happy 30th birthday, Starz! And thanks for Party Down!
“I believe that every storyteller has a very specific, peculiar, and unique relation to the stories they create, and whatever his reactions are, he’s entitled to them. That’s his prerogative,” López told Vulture. “I wrote this with profound love for the work he made and love for the people that loved it. And it is a reinvention, and it is different, and it’s done with the idea of sitting down around the fire, and [let’s] have some fun and have some feelings and have some thoughts. And anybody that wants to join is welcome.”
A former Community cast member has something to promote so we are getting an update on the Community movie that no one asked for. MAKE IT OR DON’T JUST QUIT TALKING ABOUT IT.
Seth MacFarlane is threatening us with endless Family Guy.
Keke Palmer is threatening to retire. NO MA’AM. YOU ARE ONLY 30.
Showtime is being sued by Tammy Wynette’s ex-husband’s estate over George & Tammy, “citing misrepresentation and unjust enrichment.”
“Only a grand conspiracy would explain why she might prefer Joe Biden over a man who every day behaves worse than any man in a Taylor Swift song.” #ACloserLook pic.twitter.com/8NsMBcCLSd

ALRIGHT, LISTEN. I’m going to give you a brief Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce vs. Right-Wing Weirdos update. I’m not going to turn this into a Taylor Swift blog, I promise, but I think the next couple of weeks are going to be busy on this particular subject, and we all just have to get through it:
- Travis Kelce will not be joining Taylor Swift at the Grammys this weekend, though he’d like to. Unfortunately, he has his own little show to prepare for. (And can you even imagine the OUTRAGE if he did attend?)
- Chiefs coach Andy Reid says that not only is Taylor not a distraction, but she and Kelce have handled it properly.
- Former President Dementia Test is telling people he’s not worried about Taylor Swift’s impact on the election because he’s more popular than her. LOL, OK. Despite this delusional confidence, his staffers are declaring a “holy war” against her … because that’s the way to win back independents and women.
- Variety has a helpful breakdown on the right-wing freakout about Taylor Swift, rigged Super Bowl games, psyops, vaccines, and idolatry. They’ve seriously lost their damn minds.
- And this is a good explanation for the mindset that leads to this conspiratorial insanity: “The MAGA folks are so convinced that they represent the vast majority of Americans that they make up conspiracies … In spite of all the evidence, these people cannot believe that a historically unpopular President lost an election and the same historically unpopular candidate may lose another. These people do not act with logic; their actions and beliefs are motivated by grievance and revenge alone, and these motivations have turned their brains into soup as they convince themselves that these lunatic conspiracies are the only way to explain why more than half the country does not agree with them.”
I love the idea that liberals conspired to get Taylor Swift to date Travis Kelce and then rigged the playoffs because this somehow abstractly helps Biden.
That’s where we shine. We can’t get free healthcare but perfectly execute a Riddler-esque conspiracy to ruin a football game

I truly hope that Taylor Swift being at the Super Bowl ruins it for men everywhere

And the absolute most hysterical of them all:
"Taylor Swift is a deep state psyop, but it's ok. We don’t have Taylor Swift on our side, but you know who we have? We have Kid Rock! We have Ted Nugent! We have influencers! We have all these people — Jon Voight!" pic.twitter.com/uzHwiv9oja

Finally, Drew Carey opened up about his mental health struggles and previous attempts to take his own life. It’s so important to have these conversations and to take the stigma out of mental health issues.
