Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Fresh off of coming in second on The Mask (and making weird comments about how God chose for him to be “The Donut”) John Schneider was out on Twitter threatening the lives of President Biden and his son Hunter:

It’s hardly surprising that someone who is famous for driving a car called “The General Lee” is out here calling for a left-leaning President to be lynched.

He deleted the post pretty quickly, and now is claiming that he never meant to threaten President Biden’s life: “Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.”

Despite that very convincing denial, he’s now being investigated by the Secret Service.

Vanity Fair has a great oral history of Conan O’Brien’s first year hosting The Late Show, and one of the heroes that emerges was his friend/sometime girlfriend Lisa Kudrow who always knew O’Brien would be chosen as the host: “I don’t know how much we talked about it. I just knew, ‘You’re trying to replace David Letterman. No one replaces David Letterman. You’re no one.’ [Laughs.] It can’t be anybody that an audience would know.” And she was right!

Minx is probably not coming back for season three, according to Jake Johnson. BOO.

Jacklyn Zeman, the actress who played Nurse Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital for 46 years, passed away in May of this year. The show will finally mark her passing in two special episodes next month. (I suspect they waited so long to honor her because the writers’ strike was happening, and they wanted the regular staff to write the special episodes, but I could be wrong.)

People are mad at Ricky Gervais again.

And the TSA is mad at Bethenny Frankel’s vagina.

I am certain no reading this cares about this as much as I do, but here’s another piece on why a Warner Bros. Discovery merger with Paramount would be terrible for the rest of us.

But wait … is the news of a Warner Bros. Discovery/Paramount merger really just a con David Zaslav is pulling on NBCUniversal to push them to make their own offer to merge with Warner Bros. Discovery? Because Peacock would be the biggest loser if the Paramount merger were to happen … CONSPIRACIES ARE AFOOT. (And the bottom line is no matter who Warner Bros. Discovery gobbles up, it still will be terrible for you and me.)
