Some days you’re a screaming pug waking up from surgery.
@drinktopshelf This is my Pug Roofus waking up from surgery. My vet assured me he was in no pain, just coming out of anesthesia.@Neely Gaddy #pugsoftiktok #pug #pugs #toofunny🤣🤣🤣
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Holly Marie Combs now says that Alyssa Milano was the one who got Shannen Doherty fired from Charmed, supporting the story that Doherty has been telling for a minute now. Doherty, who had been labeled “difficult,” was advised by her people to say that she “chose to leave” because they didn’t think her career could survive another firing. Listen, this is a very old beef, and there’s a part of me that wonders why anyone should care about the behind-the-scenes drama of a show that ended 17 years ago. But the fact of the matter is, the women involved have made it pretty clear that they were pitted against each other as a means of controlling them. That, and Doherty has been living with this cloud over her and her career for a while now, and it is clear that as she faces stage 4 cancer, she wants to clear her name. And who can blame her?
Eden McCoy, the Emmy-winning actress who plays Joss Jacks on General Hospital will be taking an extended break from the show following her mother’s death from cancer. She’s expected to return to the show after the holidays (but will be absent from the show for about 6 weeks after that, as there is a broadcasting delay).
Congrats to the hardest working crew, producers and talent, it’s a pleasure to be back with my #gh family. To our fans, thank you for sticking with us! My 2024 goal is to win back our lapsed viewers, we have a lot of work to do but we’re all ready to work hard for YOU! ❤️ https://t.co/mXXFRu3JP3

And the former GH fans responded with their own hashtag: #WhyIQuitGH. They have their reasons.
So … this guy, Demetrious Polychron. He wrote and self-published some Lord of the Rings fanfic, a novel, The Fellowship of the King, and its sequel, The Two Trees. And that is in and of itself a little dicey, getting into some copyright issues. But that wasn’t good enough for him, because when The Rings of Power came out on Prime Video, he sued Amazon and the Tolkien estate, claiming that they stole the story from The Two Trees. Welp, he just got his ass handed to him: his lawsuit was dismissed, and the Tolkien estate countersued him for copyright violations. They won, and not only does he have to pay them $134,637 in legal fees, he also can no longer sell or distribute The Two Trees, and has to destroy every physical and electronic copy. The Fellowship of the King, for what it’s worth, is still available on Barnes and Noble’s website.
The Nation wants to remind you that Rudy Giuliani has always been a racist, authoritarian jackass — yes, even before 9/11 — but that the media lionized him because he was the mythical “socially moderate Republican.” I can actually vouch for this: my husband had to work with “America’s Mayor” back when Rudy was the mayor, and he was an asshole at all times.
Hoping Celine Dion can recover soon.

Jonathan Majors was found guilty of assault in the third degree against former girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Sentencing is set for February.
Disney/Marvel has fired Majors from his role of Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a result of his conviction. As Pajiba argued here ahead of the verdict, he should have been fired regardless of the jury’s determination.
I'm not sure I've seen a more promising talent tank their career harder and faster than Jonathan Majors. What a damn shame. For him, for the people who are working with him, for the women he assaulted and harassed, for all of it. Get your shit together, men.

The LOKI finale really does mean they never have to mention Kang again…
