Get comfortable; it doesn’t look like these strikes are going to end anytime soon

HI, I AM BACK. Sorry for the mixup on the posts and the lack of anything on Monday. I apparently don’t know how calendars work.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Dear fellow white folks: DO NOT SAY THE N-WORD. IT IS NOT FOR YOU.

Please return Liam Cunningham’s call, Kit Harington.

Same, Ayo Edebiri. Same.

Disney+ subscribers will have early access to Ahsoka merchandise, which … great, I guess, but if you’re so excited for Ahsoka merch, wouldn’t you already probably have Disney+ since that’s the only way to see the series?

Gizmodo editor and author Dan Auckerman is suing Apple, claiming they stole his book about the origins of Tetris for their Tetris movie.

BREAKING: Prison is unpleasant.

If you will be in California or Florida this fall, you should go check out Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.

Hoping Rebel Wilson is all better soon.

Love is dead.

Strike update on the 100th day of the Writers Strike:

The WGA’s talks with AMPTP last week did not go well, and the strike continues with no end in sight. This piece suggests why even though the last strike ended after 100 days, this time around both sides have dug in for a long protracted siege.

Network writers and showrunners are warning networks that if they want any chance at even a 13-episode season of scripted television, they need to end the strike soon.

James Holzhauer has some thoughts about Jeopardy’s! plans to move forward with the 40th season during the Writers Strike:

Meanwhile, the actors are still striking, too — the WGA has announced that even if they come to terms with the AMPTP (which they don’t appear to be close to doing), they still won’t cross strike lines if the SAG strikers are still out there.

Causing some confusion is the fact that some productions have received strike waivers from SAG-AFTRA. The films and some shows that have been allowed to continue either are 1. part of a different contract, like soap actors and daytime talk shows, or 2. are being produced by small independent production companies that have already agreed to the union’s demands.

Meanwhile, background actors on WandaVision say that Disney scanned them with no explanation. Not cool, guys.
