FIFA Women’s World Cup: OK — technically, the FIFA Women’s World Cup began yesterday (Thursday), but because it’s taking place in Australia, everything is going to be wonky, time-wise. Beginning at 6 tonight will be a live match — at this point, I’m not sure which teams Fox will broadcast — followed by a replay of U.S. vs. Vietnam at 8 p.m. 6 p.m., Fox

Minx: Joyce struggles to find a new publisher in the second season premiere of the little show that could. (Seriously — give this show a chance, it’s delightful — but only if you’re not scandalized by full-frontal male nudity.) 8 p.m., Starz

Praise Petey: A young woman inherits her father’s doomsday cult in this new animated series from a former head of SNL. Series premiere. 9 p.m., Freeform

Starship Troopers: This movie isn’t about what you think it’s about. I mean, yes, it’s about giant bugs, but it’s actually a wonderful satire of fascism. And the bugs aren’t the fascists. 4:15 p.m., IFC

One other possible Watch This item for today (Monday): Steven Soderbergh has posted a “time-travel-filled satire” (according to Metacritic’s TV Premiere Calendar) called Command Z on his website, extension765.com. You can watch the miniseries (which totals about 90 minutes) for a fee of $8, which goes to charity.
