Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Reed Hastings is stepping down as CEO of Netflix and will be succeeded by Greg Peters, the former COO. Netflix added 7.66 million global subscribers in the last quarter, which is better than expected, but the earnings were the lowest they have been since 2016.
In an effort to improve those earnings, Netflix will be launching the dreaded password clampdown sometime very soon, and Wall Street is HERE FOR IT.
Today marks the 15th anniversary of the premiere of Breaking Bad, one of the greatest shows to come out of the Golden Age of Television.
Everyone say THANK YOU, VINCE GILLIGAN! Happy 15th anniversary to us. pic.twitter.com/x1E4HraJzR

A short story: I didn’t start watching Breaking Bad when it originally debuted. The premise just didn’t appeal to me or something, I don’t know, I don’t have an excuse. But a few years later, I was at a Party Down reunion event in Austin that featured the wonderful cast and the creator of the show, one Rob Thomas, who also created Veronica Mars and iZombie — both of which I loved. After the marathon and Q&A with the cast was over and we were all leaving the theater, I somehow ended up right next to Thomas, and I started pestering him about TV and what his favorite show currently airing was. His answer: Breaking Bad. He spoke at length as a writer about what an amazingly well-written show it was and marveled that Vince Gilligan was a genius. And that’s how a famous TV showrunner bullied me into watching Breaking Bad.

Oddly enough, Houstonians, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were at our beloved midtown Spec’s yesterday, signing bottles of their mescal. Had I known about this sooner, I certainly would have mentioned it, but it looks like there was quite the crowd.
The line outside Spec's in Houston to meet Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul at 9am. Ppl were waiting from 4-5am. 😭 went and got tacos from Brother's Taco House instead. Support local tacos. 🌮 pic.twitter.com/bzrB1ctHTD

The pair are also reuniting as their characters for a Super Bowl ad for chips.
So, there’s a show called Power Slap, in which people participate in competitive open-handed slapping. Dr. Chris Nowinski, a neuroscientist, and founder of the Concussion Legacy Foundation has some real issues with the show, what with people getting concussed all over the place.
This is so sad. Note the fencing posture with the first brain injury. He may never be the same. @danawhite & @TBSNetwork should be ashamed. Pure exploitation. What's next, "Who can survive a stabbing"? pic.twitter.com/jTENpUmJDd

I would like to remind you that this show’s premiere was delayed by a week after a video emerged of the creator and host of the show, UFC President Dana White, slapping his wife in a fight. Every single thing about this is gross.
The changes they are making at CNN This Morning aren’t working.
Apparently, there is a reality show prison. They should send Jen Shah there.
“I will not be doing the 1:1 with Andy Cohen and Bravo because of their unwillingness to remove contractual provisions that would allow the network to legally make misrepresentations of me and my story, relating to any and all topics, prior to and during the course of my participation,” Shah says.
“I would rather remain silent and wait until I am able to accurately share my story than continue having complete lies and misrepresentations about me smeared across the headlines.”

- OK — I don’t know what to make of this project, you guys. I have no idea based on this article whether this is an actual talk show or if it is a scripted spoof of a talk show. I … just … alright, y’all tell me what you make of this:
“A new series from writer/actor Malachi Rivers (Mank, Poz Roz) is in development. ‘Moments’ includes Rutina Wesley (Queen Sugar) Sufe Bradshaw (Veep), Devere Rogers (Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul), Thomas Hobson (That Girl Lay Lay) and Desean Terry (The Morning Show).
OK, so far so good.
Described as a weekly group therapy session gone wrong, the series plans to tackle various issues, including domestic violence, eating disorders, abandonment issues and more,
Sure … a round-table talk show, I get it …
all while the group is guided by a mind-reading therapist and time-traveling partner.“
LOL WHAT?
And I assure you there is no other information provided to make sense of this. Go ahead and click on the story yourselves. Y’all, this legit sounds like a show that Jack Donaghy would pitch to Liz Lemon.

R.I.P.
David Crosby, Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer for his work with The Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash, and later Young
From Stephen Stills:
“I read a quote in this morning’s paper attributed to compose Gustav Mahler that stopped me for a moment:
“Death has, on placid cat’s paws, entered the room.”
I shoulda known something was up.
David and I butted heads a lot over time, but they were mostly glancing blows, yet still left us numb skulls..
I was happy to be at peace with him.
He was without question a giant of a musician, and his harmonic sensibilities were nothing short of genius.
The glue that held us together as our vocals soared, like Icarus, towards the sun.
I am deeply saddened at his passing and shall miss him beyond measure.”
David is gone, but his music lives on. The soul of CSNY, David’s voice and energy were at the heart of our band. His great songs stood for what we believed in and it was always fun and exciting when we got to play together. ‘Almost Cut My Hair’ ‘Dejavu’, and so many other great songs he wrote were wonderful to jam on and Stills and I had a blast as he kept us going on and on. His singing with Graham was so memorable, their duo spot a highlight of so many of our shows.
We had so many great times, especially in the early years. Crosby was a very supportive friend in my early life, as we bit off big pieces of our experience together. David was the catalyst of many things. My heart goes out to Jan and Django, his wife and son. Lots of love to you. Thanks David for your spirit and songs, Love you man. I remember the best times!
I don’t know what to say other than I’m heartbroken to hear about David Crosby. David was an unbelievable talent – such a great singer and songwriter. And a wonderful person. I just am at a loss for words. Love & Mercy to David’s family and friends. Love, Brian pic.twitter.com/Hjht7LeGiv

RIP David Crosby. As a member of The Byrds, 1 of the historically essential Artists that created the Artform of Rock. The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Beach Boys & Yardbirds, showed future generations like us what was possible. We owe him, and them, everything.
