Sleep easy, ‘The Sandman’ has finally been renewed

DON’T FUCK WITH DEREK.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

HEY. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF EARLY VOTING. HAVE YOU VOTED YET? And I have a question specifically for my folks in Houston: Have you voted on the new machines yet? The ones that use paper ballots? Because they are very different from the machines you voted on in 2020. They aren’t quite as intuitive and there are nearly 100 people and a few propositions on the ballot — that’s right, 100. And you can no longer vote straight ticket. So even if you in particular are a fast voter who is adept with new technology, other people won’t be and it’s going to take them a minute to get through this process. All I am saying is, anticipate there will be lines on Election Day, and maybe think about voting today or tomorrow instead. I’d hate for you or anyone to get discouraged on Tuesday by long lines.

While we’re on the subject of the midterm elections — WHICH YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO VOTE IN — it’s going to shake up television next Tuesday on all three big networks. All primetime Tuesdays episodes on ABC, CBS, and NBC will be on pause next week with the one exception of FBI on CBS: it will air on November 6th instead. Fox will show new episodes of Monarch and The Resident, while The CW will air reruns of The Winchesters and Professionals. Oh, and by the way, don’t expect to have real midterm results for days. Everyone needs to be real chill about that, please.

Over on CNN, the plan for Jake Tapper to remain in the primetime 8/9 p.m. spot has changed. Following Tuesday’s midterms, Tapper will return to his 3/4 p.m. spot, after deciding that primetime was working out for his family. (I mean … sure, OK.) The post-midterm primetime schedule has yet to be revealed.

The $6.99 ad-supported Netflix tier is live as of today.

And Sling TV is increasing its price by $5 a month.

The real reason everyone tuned into The White Lotus on Sunday:

Speaking of The White Lotus, early on, the episode mentions the “Testa di Moro,” the ceramic heads that are so popular in Sicily. Funny enough (or maybe through some shrewd marketing by HBO), I recently had this TikTok video appear on my “For You” page, and it gives a longer version of the story as seen on the series. All I’m saying is, if you’re looking for some foreshadowing, you can’t do better than this. Also, don’t piss off Sicilian women. As one, I can attest: it won’t go well for you.

These Teste Moro “Moors Head” Vases are the practical symbol of Sicily. Blown away to hear the story behind them. In short, never mess with a Sicilian woman #testemoro #caltagirone #caltagironecittàdellaceramica #sicily #italy

A Real Housewives husband creating a fake Instagram account to troll a Housewife might very well be the most Housewife thing I’ve ever heard. When does his dance single come out?

Fun fact: Aaron Paul’s name isn’t really Aaron Paul. At least not legally … yet.

WHO KNEW HE COULD RAP LIKE THAT? If they don’t work this into Abbott Elementary somehow …

  1. The Mickey Story reminded me. Did you watch last week’s episode of Atlanta? It was the only stand alone episode this year that I can remember but, Oh man. Probably a top 3 episode for me
