How’s that Oscars “fan favorite” scheme going? Oh, people are voting for movies that aren’t eligible and some Johnny Depp mess that no one’s heard of? WELL OF COURSE THEY ARE. A+++++ plan, everyone. Well done.
Hey, remember that “Brotherhood of Man” NBC promo I shared with you recently? Vanity Fair followed up with this story about the making of the promo and there are some amazing tidbits:
1. Taika Waititi directed it (!!!)
2. Chevy Chase just walked out on the shooting.
3. Alec Baldwin claims to not remember making it.
4. Tina Fey was a super great sport.
5. And Former President Cheez Whiz had to be crammed in at the last second and was, unsurprisingly, a complete asshole about the whole thing.
It’s truly worth reading the entire story if you can get behind the paywall.
