Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Savannah Guthrie has set an April 6th return to The Today Show

“I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not. But I can’t not come back, because it’s my family,” she said. “I think it’s part of my purpose right now. I want to smile. And when I do, it will be real. And my joy will be my protest.”

Another day, another subscription fee hike: Netflix is raising the prices on all three tiers. “The new pricing bumps the fee to $8.99 a month for Netflix’s Standard with Ads tier, up $1; its Standard tier now costs $2 more to $19.99 per month; while its Premium plan also went up $2, to $26.99.”

Meanwhile, almost all the other streamers are offering deals right now.

Taylor Frankie Paul is reportedly receiving her Bachelorette salary despite it not airing. It’s estimated to be around $250,000.

Don’t drag Gabby Windey into this Bachelorette mess, Andy Cohen. She has her own fabulous things going on.

HBO released its first teaser for its upcoming Harry Potter series earlier this week, and the overwhelming reaction wasthis looks just like Chris Columbus’ movie, but darkerlike, literally harder to see.” But J.K. Rowling is pleased as punch about it — when she’s not busily punching down on transgender folks.

On March 19, Ryan Gosling was on a podcast where he praised Deidre Hall’s classic 1995 Days of Our Lives performance in which Marlena was possessed by the devil, citing it as one of his inspirations to get into acting.

In response, yesterday Hall extended an invitation to Gosling to appear on Days of Our Lives:

And today, Ryan Gosling enthusiastically accepted her offer, stating, “I will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration. It wasn’t Marlon Brando in On The Waterfront, it wasn’t De Niro in Taxi Driver, it was you.”

First John Oliver, now Ryan Gosling. All of this warms my soap-loving heart, and serves as a reminder that soaps often serve as stepping stones into acting for some of our greatest performers.

The Madison just became Taylor Sheridan’s biggest premiere, and that’s truly saying something.

Don’t expect huge Game of Thrones-style battle scenes in The Boys‘ final season; they don’t have that kind of money.

Saturday Night Live U.K. will be available much earlier on Peacock this week than last.

Don’t come for Jessica Tarlov.

This is an interesting piece about how the streaming wars are about to take flight — literally. I just flew on a United flight that offered Starlink, and as much as I hate Elon Musk, I have to begrudgingly admit that it worked great. I was able to watch all of my streaming apps on my phone without having to download shows before getting on the plane, and it worked very smoothly.
