Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
So, the Spotify folks are really pissed at Harry and Meghan: the couple has split from their $20 million Spotify deal after only producing 12 podcast episodes. And according to some sources, Meghan Markle did not conduct the interviews on the podcast, instead splicing in voice clips post-interview. Bill Simmons, founder of The Ringer and a Spotify executive now, called them “fucking grifters.” H’oh boy.
Shiny Happy People is Prime Video’s biggest docuseries debut ever, and, seriously, go watch it.
This is weird and I’m not well-versed in the DC universe well enough to really understand what’s happening here, but the long and short of it is even though it looks like him, that’s not Teddy Sears in the new Flash movie playing the original Flash, which is not the role he played on the TV version of The Flash. So weird.
“This is a piece of magic. Let’s take it out into the world, back to our families, and share it with our children. Let it accompany us to our next job. Take this light and let it shine.” — Jason Sudeikis’ speech to the cast of Ted Lasso on the last day of shooting. Doesn’t sound like there’s going to be a surprise fourth season, kids.
This guy dislocated his shoulder while celebrating on The Price is Right and had to have his wife spin the wheel for him later in the show. CALM DOW, Y’ALL.
The Real Housewives of New York (OGs) are making $250,000 to go hang in the Caribbean for a week. Where do I send my resume?
Get better soon, Quincy Jones!
Renewals
- Fubar has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.
Cancellations
- American Auto has been canceled at NBC after two seasons, God dammit.
Season 3 of #americanauto was going to show Katherine Hastings and Payne Motors finally finding success and taking the world by storm. I’m so sorry we didn’t get to make those episodes, but I’m immensely proud of the 23 episodes of the show we did put out there.
