This is going to be another one of those weeks where there is no TV news around these parts thanks to some family business I have to take care of. But, unlike the other times I’ve abandoned this blog to stalk failed Game of Thrones prequel sets or hurl myself off the top of a mountain for no good Goddamned reason, I’m not going to just leave you with cute animal videos to fill the time. I mean, there are going to be cute animal videos, obviously, but I have something else much more engaging for you, too.
It’s time to begin the TV Foolishness Tournament! Every day for 12 days you are going to vote for which shows you would rather I recap here on FoolishWatcher. There will be four different categories of shows:
- New Fall TV Shows
- Classic Shows I Should Have Recapped, but Didn’t
- Shows I Began Recapping, and Then Gave Up On, Including Hate Blogs
- Reader Suggestions
And you know how tournaments work: by September 12, we should have a winner in each category, and those shows will go head-to-head. By September 15, we will have a winner — and by “winner,” I mean a show that I will blog, hate or otherwise.
One last note on this process: whichever show is chosen, I will recap the first season of it, or the first season that I haven’t recapped if I have previously recapped it. In the polls below, I have (hopefully) included trailers for whichever season it is that I will recap.
You can vote as often as you’d like in each category, but these polls will close at 9 a.m., tomorrow.
