Jon Stewart returns to TV tonight on ESPN’s SportsCenter’s special coverage of the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games airing at 6 p.m. (Central Time). The games are a multi-sport event for wounded or ill service personnel and veterans. Jon will also provide segments for SportsCenter’s 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts. And you know, good, great, this is a valuable use of Jon Stewart’s time and energies, but WE NEED MORE, STEWART. HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW? THEY ARE HANDMAIDSING REPORTERS OVER AT CONGRESS. I’M SERIOUS. GET YOURSELF A NEW SHOW, STEWART, AND GET IT NOW.
Fox is probably going to pull an Empire/Star crossover in the most obvious crossover in crossover history.
Steven Yeun has some thoughts about Glenn on The Walking Dead, mostly that the show didn’t appreciate how much the audience loved the character until he was brutally killed — and he’s not wrong. Glenn deserved more from both the story and the marketing/publicity side.
Oh, has another Fox personality been fired for sexual harassment? IS THERE ANYONE EVEN LEFT OVER THERE?
What? A show that airs on Saturday nights in the summer doesn’t have high ratings? What will you tell me next, that Fox personalities are handsy assholes?
Another day, another bunch of Game of Thrones news:
This Hollywood Reporter writer is clinging to his theory that Jon Snow will die again this season, and be brought back to life again. I mean, it’s possible.
What is certain: there will be tension between Jon Snow and Sansa this season. (My own prediction for what it’s worth: Jon Snow doesn’t make it out of the series alive — dying in the final season in a battle against the Night’s King — and Sansa becomes the Queen in the North.)
Are Missandei and Grey Worm finally going to get to business this season?
Here is a list of questions that the author worries will never be answered on Game of Thrones. Most of the questions are good, but the last one is just a dumb complaint and I do think we will see Nymeria again, this writer needs to be patient.
And here are a bunch of fan theories that we might just see play out this season. The Euron one is the first time I heard anything about that …
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is teasing us:
Hulu has added a HBO subscription for an extra $14.99 a month, just in time for the return of Game of Thrones. (You can also get a standalone HBO Go subscription for the same price, FYI.)
Congratulations, Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger!
Congratulations, Bitsie Tulloch and David Giuntoli of Grimm!
And congratulations to Bachelor in Paradise‘s Marcus Grodd who is getting married for real after getting fake married to Lacy on that dumb show.
