@thebernerbunch Nothing can prepare you for the last one. It is undoubtedly the most unhinged Weller-ism 😂 #bernesemountaindog #funnydog #dog
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Happy Constitution Day, y’all! This is the day in 1787 that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document that gave birth to this great nation. And it is the perfect moment to remind Pam Bondi, J.D. Vance, President Dictator on Day One, the entire Republican party, and Fox News that the First Amendment still exists, and they can’t just label speech they don’t like “hate speech” and threaten journalists.
For those of you who don’t want to click on the clickies, the long and short of it is, Attorney General Pam Bondi has threatened to “target” what she calls “hate speech” in the wake of the murder of Charlie Kirk, and threatening employers who don’t fire employees who say “horrible” things about him. That, of course, is in violation of the First Amendment, and ironically enough, against Kirk’s own message: “Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free.”
And here’s President Ischemic Strokes threatening ABC News’ Jon Karl when he pointed out that his own allies believe “hate speech is free speech.”

One more time for those in the back: private employers can fire you for saying or posting something they find offensive. You can be “cancelled” by your job, your friends, your family, by the internet itself for saying something they disagree with or find distasteful. But the government can not punish or prevent you from speaking out. That’s what the “free speech” part of the First Amendment means, full stop.
We are living in dangerous times, y’all.
The separation of NBC News from MSNBC will begin on October 6, with international and domestic NBC News personnel no longer appearing on the cable news network. Correspondents in Washington D.C. will stop appearing on October 20. Versant and NBCU will officially split on January 1.
Ice Cube and the rest of the cast of War of the Worlds weren’t actually directed? You don’t say.
Stephen Richardson, a contestant on Love is Blind, season 7, is suing the producers of the series for employment violations, arguing that the cast should be treated like employees, entitling them to minimum wage, overtime and illegal contractual terms over confidentiality.
Kristen Davis was just as surprised as you were that And Just Like That … was canceled. Because let’s be honest: that was no kind of finale.

Somehow, amazingly, they managed to bring Paul Rudd back on Only Murders in the Building (slight spoilers). Well played, guys, this is genius.
The View hosts told audience members who refuse to get vaccinated to not come back to the show, and considering 1. the head of the Department of Health these days, and 2. the ages of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, I don’t blame them.
The Menendez Brothers will continue to cool their heels in prison.
Stephen Colbert extended his thanks to Jon Stewart and Jimmy Kimmel on his show following his Emmy win. He also pointed out the obvious: “Speaking of Emmys, Donald Trump doesn’t have one.”
Get well soon, Carrie Ann Inaba!
