Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

We have a new head of Disney: Josh D’Amaro, the guy who has been in charge of the theme parks. He’ll take over in March. We’ll see how it goes, I guess!

Turning Point USA has finally announced the performers for their “halftime show”: Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Gabby Barrett, and Lee Brice. On the one hand, this seems like a lineup that people who are offended by the existence of Bad Bunny would look forward to. On the other hand: LOL, WHO?

Hulu will begin shutting down as a standalone app on Thursday.

The Heritage Foundation hates Netflix and wants to prevent it from acquiring Warner Bros. (which is reason enough for me to root for Netflix, honestly).

John Lithgow would like to have it both ways with the upcoming Harry Potter series.

Stephen Colbert continues to add items from his show to his auction, including guest chairs and cue cards.

NBC Sports will broadcast from Alcatraz during the Super Bowl. OK, but why?

Interesting: a sharp-eyed viewer of the Stranger Things finale documentary noticed some alternate endings to the series on a whiteboard in the writers’ room, which seem to make Eleven’s fate a lot less ambiguous. Orrrrr … and hear me out … it could have been deliberately included in the documentary as a red herring.

Savannah Guthrie asks for prayers as her mother remains missing in what police believe might be a kidnapping.

The big news of the week is that there was another Epstein Files dump on Friday (though there are still maybe millions more documents that the DoJ has announced they will not be releasing). President Sex Offender, his wife, and his home were mentioned some 38,000 times in 5,300 documents. But according to the Department of Justice, that’s not enough to warrant an investigation. (Including documents that contained stories claiming he raped one child and participated in the auction of others, which were quickly redacted after being released to the public. Not sus at all.)

There were also over 10,000 documents mentioning Putin or Moscow, leading some intelligence agencies to believe Epstein was running a honey trap and money laundering operation for the KGB and Russia.

Also found in the files were:

Reportedly, there is pressure on Bari Weiss to fire Attria, one week after she brought him on board, but as of now, she is refusing. They have, however, pulled a segment that Atttria is in that would have aired on next week’s 60 Minutes

(This is by no means an exhaustive list — there are also numerous European leaders, and previously disclosed figures like Larry Summers and Alan Dershowitz, who had been known to be in Epstein’s orbit as well.) Stay tuned. This isn’t going away. But will anyone be held accountable, like … ever?

Matt Lauer’s accuser, Brooke Nevils, has written about her alleged rape in a new book, and explains why she continued to have a relationship with him and didn’t alert authorities. “Even now, I hear ‘rape’ and think of masked strangers in dark alleys. Back then, I had no idea what to call what happened other than weird and humiliating.” Ann Curry released a statement supporting Nevils: “I remember Brooke as good-hearted and credible, with great potential,” she says. “She is also brave,” adds Curry of Nevils.

The director of Marty Supreme, Josh Safdie, is being accused of turning a blind eye to a minor being sexually harassed on the set of the Safdie Brothers’ movie Good Timeand this being the cause of his falling out with his brother, Benny. (I’m not suggesting that this didn’t happen, but I will note that it is interesting timing for this story to come out with Oscar voting underway.)

Director Joe Carnahan has been accused of sexual battery, assault, and stalking by his former partner, Michelle Crosby.

Twitter’s French offices were raided by law enforcement, and Elon Musk has been summoned to court in part over Grok’s sexually explicit deepfakes. GOOD.

Neil Gaiman is out here denying that he did anything wrong again.

Former NFL player Vernon Davis has been accused of attacking a woman.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
