Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY AND NOTHING ELSE.

Looks like Daphne will not be making an appearance in the upcoming season of Bridgerton. (I could go on a whole feminist tear about how in some ways this is apt for a period drama as it reflects the traditional roles of women, that once you were married off, your story has reached its conclusion, everyone forgets that you exist, that no one talks about what happens after “happily ever after,” but I won’t.)

The real Golden Bachelor and Bachelorette, ladies and gentlemen:

As we near another season of The Bachelor, I have a lot of people ask me why I spend time recapping The Bachelor shows, and honestly, it’s a few things: people read the recaps; I have developed an unhealthy hateful relationship with the franchise; and because when the breakups happen, THEY ARE SO MESSY, and, well …

Oh. Well, that’s not good. And I’m not saying that 2022 is when David Zaslav took control of Warner Bros. Discovery and by extension CNN, except that’s exactly what I’m saying.

As an All My Children fan, I obviously knew that Michael B. Jordan played Reggie Montgomery on the show. What I did NOT know was that Chadwick Boseman was originally cast in the role. Curiously, Boseman and the show claim he left/was fired for VERY different reasons.

Here’s a fine way to spend the afternoon not thinking about the hellscape our country will be for the next four — fourteen — forty years.

Yes, that was Keanu Reeves.

Nick Mohammed is out here teasing us with Ted Lasso news.

You’re welcome:

Congratulations to Henry Cavill and Natalie Viscuso!
